Consider the maintenance work or fixes that YOU need to do to the bike, and factor that into the price. It is ok to pay more for a bike that has had all of the maintenance work done to it recently, or pay less and get a bike that needs some work, but you must know this in advance and be ok with it.
    • Inspecting the bike: if you are not experienced yourself, have a mechanic or an experienced friend check the bike before making a purchase. Crashed bikes:This is even more important if you are buying a bike that is being sold at a cheaper price with damages that the buyer is required to fix. In these cases, doing a frame check that will show any frame/fork/geometry damages is HIGHLY recommended. Do NOT simply rely on the information that the seller is providing, even he/she may not be aware of all the problems. Have the crashed bike checked and know what you are getting into.
    • Clean title, Salvage title A clean title doesn't mean the bike is free of serious issues. A Salvaged title doesn't mean the bike may have any problems. Every case is different. Some bikes are seriously damaged in a crash, but an insurance claim is never made on them, so they still have a clean title. Some bikes have had mostly cosmetic damages in a crash, but the insurance company decided to pay off the bike and salvage the title rather than spending the money to fix it. Know what you are getting into and don't make any assumptions based on what the seller is telling you.
    • Registration: Know about the current registration status of the bike. Check with DMV if you have any questions about any possible back fees and other title/registration questions (out of state title, no title with bill of sales only, etc.) before purchasing the bike.

Actually they aren't very close. The Racing seems to run quite large compared to our other technical jackets, but due to the liner in the Santa Monica, you may still end up being a 46 in the Racing.

Unfortunately, the Racing jacket is completely sold out in size 46 currently (it's a very popular jacket). They are ramping up to do another production run, however, so if you like, PM me your contact info and I will be happy to put you on the waiting list so you can try one out as soon as they land in the store.

Dan, are there any other jackets that fit similar to the racing jacket?
 
So if I understand things correctly Dainese suits have strategically placed velcro inside the pant leg that connects it to the axial "IN" style boots but the pants such as the delta do not. Are the delta pants long enough to retrofit velcro? (no dealers in my area carry dainese products for me to try on). If not I'm getting not getting axial boots but will cop a pair of TCX RS boots or A* smx plus instead

All of our pants and suits now incorporate the dual calf zippers and velcro to accomodate the Axial Race boots, or Torque in and Torque In Pro boots. Last year's Delta did not work with the Axials, but the current Delta Pro's do.

Also, would you know of any Dainese 3/4 boots that are ventilated? The Shift ones I currently have get hot as hell and I know its not going to get any better in the summer. :(

Sorry for the absence of responses here lately folks. Italy decided to "up our security" on our servers which has had the side affect of making it impossible to log onto 90% of the websites I need to.

OUr next clearance sale isn't until August. I do still have some things on the clearance rack, but the Santa Monica's haven't been on sale since we switched over to D-Skin. It's unlikely they will be on sale any time soon. I may have a 52 DelMar left though...

I have a pretty good selection in stock currently, and have the 2010 range landing shortly. Pretty much all of the 2009 helmets are currently marked down around 30% with the exception of the Rossi 5 Continents.

As for boots, I have several options for you to try.
 
Hi dan! first of all, i think the SF store and your staff are awesome. Thanks for all the awesome gear.

I had a question for yah! browsing Dainese online, i came across a Jacket Wave Pro 2 armor. It looks pretty neato.

Is it intended for racing purposes, or can it be used in everyday street like say if i just put on a dainese mesh jacket but without the armor and just have this underneath?

or would this be overdoing it? or would there be a better option for street?

(i ask because i'm partial to the neck protection :D and it also looks neato :p )
 
another question dan: i know most of the textile jackets are made of Cordura fabric,

but i cannot find anything for any of the D-dry d-system pants. They say Mugello fabric? what is mugello fabric?!? i cant find a resource that would tell me its abrasion resistence
