Audis - are they good reliable cars?

Fixed. Tupperware interiors of cheap hard plastic!

i rented a chevy cobalt a couple years back... there was so much hard cheap plastic on the inside of that car it could've been sponsored by fisher price...
i've never seen a car that bad...

That adjustable height/auto levelling setup is great when it's working. But when it goes bad...holy crap. I know of a shop that just converts them to coil springs and disables the system because it's far cheaper than replacing the airbags.

Not to mention the control arm link bushings which are guaranteed to go bad. I did upper links and front airbags on an Allroad a few months back. $3 grand. Ouch.

Yep...all the sort of little things people complain about when they purchase a car they can't actually afford.

Oh, you want to look like you're doing really well financially? Take out a home equity loan and buy a fancy european car...everyone will envy you! :laughing

At least with cheap beaters I don't have to feel agony over grinding them to junk with my driving style and love for crappy roads.

If you have the money...enjoy the car!! Who cares about 1k here and 2k there! If it's not worth it, upgrade to a better one that is! The economy, needs your support!

I rented an Accord last year for a week. I'll stick w/ my German shitboxes, thank you.

Wen is that the 2.7T?:thumbup Very cool ride.

yep, that's it :thumbup twin turbo thingy whatsit :toothless

If you plan on having it past 100K, don't do it...they get very expensive then. We've had more than a few and they were nice, but all mistakes. The Allroad (sorry Wendy) was the most expensive of the bunch...

that's why I got a thingy on it, maintenance repair plan or somat. I dunno, it's all money, in one hand out the other :dunno

Regardless, I am now restored to my former glory, I miss the heck out of my 540, and got tired of driving that Mitsubishi Montero, I wanted to be back in black, and styling, and that I am :party

damned thing is stealth, I get all these lifted trucks whatever bearing down on me thinking they are gonna get me to move over. nuh uh, I don't think so :shame

pedal push and whooooooosh snap head back and gone :twofinger

Friend has a Cobalt SS and that sucker rips , Theres plastic on the interior like any GM but they cover it with suede on the SS models

We had the same thing. Course the airbags on our 540it leaked as well, good for another $1200 repair. If I wanted a nice car and was worried about reliability, I'd look no farther than a G35. Brandon loves his and we'd had nothing but good from ours. in fact...we're selling our fully loaded 2007 G35 currently...

^^ :twofinger - that was to PhoS

I just got a new to me Audi Allroad twin turbo gizmo :drool

an Estate, if you please :insertsnobsmilie

love it

and no tickets yet :rofl damned thing goes like shit off a shovel

:teeth

According to Jeremy Clarkson (BBC Top Gear), cocks now drive Audi’s. He traditionally thought that BMWs were uncool because cocks usually drive them. However, lately he has seen a turn-around. Cocks have traded in their BMW for an Audi (mostly company car drivers) which makes Audi the new ‘cock’-car of choice.
