Bachelor party help

My best man picked out http://www.farmerbrownsf.com/ for the dinner hit on my party. Outstanding food, great atmosphere & drinks, and proper for the occasion. It's a memory I savor.

Only dig is that it starts your night in the TL. Bourbon & Branch is choice & close, but there ain't much else you want to get into in that hood.

Bourbon & Branch is cool, but probably not with a big group. I would check out Local Edition, similar atmosphere but much more space. Or even Rickhouse, they recently expanded so it's not such a clusterfuck in there anymore. Also check out Hawthorn for a more lounge-y atmosphere. Whenever I'm planning an event, I usually do some scouting first to see which spots would be good for the group and maybe talk to the owner or bar manager to see if they can accommodate you.

Few years back, I organized an event at Raven Bar, they just opened so they weren't very busy. They reserved the back room for our group, we had our own bartender, and it didn't cost us anything aside from our bar tab. You might want to check them out too.

Guess that makes me a douche. But I always like the trim at those places. The rest was whatever.

Oh and I wouldnt even have a bachelor party in SF. But that is what he asked about.

I had mine in Austin. But Scottsdale would be cool too. Maybe Chi town.

I'm just teasing you Ducky.

All good.

I mean really the point is to get wasted and do dumb stuff. Just make sure everyone is on board with that. Anyone who doesn't drink, stay home, see them at the wedding. But a group of 15....gonna be hard to conduct borderline nefarious activity unless everyone has solid guy code rules versed.

Still wondering if it's a Friday night overnight, or if he is thinking party bus..

Are you guys staying overnight?

I could recommend some might clubs or bars. There isnalways Ruby Skye or the irish pubs around union square. The marina district is good for sure.

And def go to broadway to a bar, then to one of the strip clubs and food after at mels.

I like Ruby Skye but I think one could do a lot better for planning a bachelor party.

I liked the fancy hotel/strippers/catered food and bar/card games idea.

All good ideas guys.

Party bus has been rented already. We have a huge suite rented in some hotel, Nikko I think. As stated we all want to go out and not chill in a hotel room. I think when the bus leaves SF some will go back to the east bay, some will go back to the suite, and some will rage on, most likely at the end up or something. Mitchell Bro's has been talked about also.

I think it all depends on the group of people in particular, but, below are some of the bigger party venues.

Clubs ('til 2am) - check what's playing: Ruby Skye, Mighty, Temple, 1015 Folsom, DNA Lounge

After-club: Gold Club for strippers, The Endup - for more clubbing past 2 (no drinks), mystery afters-hours parties

My buddy loves new century theater. But its a little grimey. Gold club is nicer, but more expenaive and girls arent as fun IMO. The divey strip clubs are best. As long as the talent is what you are looking for (white, black, thick, etc.)

I just like gold club for the free lunch buffet. And the one stripper with mad pole skills me and my friends call Pirate Girl.
