I've had an epiphany this morning, gentlemen. While driving to my friends house, I was cruising down 280, and pull up on a car driving at about 50mph in the fast lane. Upon getting closer to the vehicle, I notice the "student driver" placard on the rear window. As I start to pass in the lane to the right of the car, I give a short beep on my horn to clearly communicate my displeasure with their lane choice and cruising speed. As I pull up even with the passenger-side door, the driving instructor give me that "what the fuck" look. It is then when it struck me...it's not the student/drivers to blame for the shit that goes wrong on the roads...its the shit-for-brains instructors that are to blame for not having the common sense to tell their students that driving 50 in a 65 in the fucking fast lane is frowned upon!

BRING BACK PUBLIC EXECUTIONS FOR STUPIDITY!

Valid point. I've seen several [student driver cars] on 101 and 92 that do 5-10 under the speed limit in the fast lane, or do exactly the speed limit in the fast lane (while everyone else is passing them on the right, including dump trucks, semis, etc).

What's the criteria for becoming an instructor? Hanging out a shingle? Passing a longer version of the DMV's written test? Writing a large check to the correct state agency?

i taught my driving instructor how to get into the 90 degree parking spots. he could only do the angled ones. :|

:wtf

Actually funny story for the first time I got pulled over. Was first time driving a car EVER. I get there, and instructor OK, lets go. We were driving from San Andreas to Angels Camp. So Lou knows how narrow and twisty that road is. I was just glad I didn't drive a car off the road. Over sudden I see sheriff with lights on. We pull over. Sheriff "why didn't you use pull out lane, there is a back up behind you!" Oops. No I had no idea, instructor didn't say anything about pull out lanes.

Now when I get pulled over I have the opposite problem. :laughing "Know how fast you were going?" Well....
