Barf Stories: Tell all while we still live

Reminds me, I had a rear go flat in turn 8 at Willow Springs. Big long slide and then felt the telltale squirm as I straightened it out. Nice to have the pit lane just up ahead…

Dmitry-The Beginning

I believe it was an Old Fat Guy Party 2008 or 2009 where I first met a cocky confident young racer by the name of Dmitriy. The boy was liquered up good and frisky AF. In walks a perfectly formed woman in a leave nothing o the imagination body hugging black dress that not only revealed her every curve but the fact that there was nothing but skin under that garment.
In my memory of things Dima's jaw dropped, his eyballs bulged and his tongue hit the floor ala Loony Tunes style. He followed that woman around all the while consuming whatever was put in front of him.
At some point I was fortunate to be near enough to winess the entire event as it went down; just like this:

Young boy Dima walks up to that stunning female specimen and begins to flirt. She entertains him in a very cat toying with a mouse way. Eventually Dima says to her "I'm going to get in that dress before this night ends" or something like that. She (the woman in the dress) takes one hand places it overhead and behind her back and pulls that dress off her body in one motion. She then holds the dress out to Dmitriy and dead pan, standing naked before him, says "put it on." The boy complies and somewhere someone has a photo of Dmitriy in that dress.

That is the best story EVAR G! I can see the whole thing in my mind. Dima has Skillz and the woman has confidence. What could possibly go wrong! :):)

Here is one posted elsewhere but cut up for this thread.

HWY 58 on a BARF Rally.

On one left hander I saw an egg sized rock in my path and just clipped it.

I was in the groove riding hard and fast and kept going. I was having fun for sure. Then I noted the rear felt like it was sliding a bit.. sort of like sand or dirty pavement. Nothing to serious I thought I was riding like a bad ass. 😂

THEN.. I went into a right hander somewhere around 60mph and the back stepped out… it felt like a full on Jared Mees flat track slide, but it was probably a foot.. :dunno I held my body position still as the wheel stayed out for the entire turn… 2 – 3 seconds :dunno I was again in animal mode being super careful not to disrupt the bikes balance as it was sliding predictably. A quick WHOA as I straighten up the bike and then turned quickly into a WTF as the rear was still squirreling. I though I must have blew an oil line or something.. great.

When I got off Norcal Factory (Tom) had pulled up and was looking at my bike.. and when he did there was a f’ing flat rear.. I mean pretty f’ing flat. :wow

He said the big one had left a nice black stripe.

I was damn lucky to ride it out and the Little Rock cost me a 600 hundo tow ultimately but with no crash I guess I am blessed once again. Plus I felt like a bad ass for doing it.
Wasn't there another memorable ride on westbound 58?

Yes... should I share it?? I mean it included some BTL.

Yes!! Share! This can be a great thread if people will share. FWIW, I did get permission to share and post the Dmitiry tale,

I can say with a reasonable amount of confidence, nothing like that happens at the SF meetups in case anyone was nervous about what we get up to..

but, it could-if you know what I mean. I miss those old kitchen sink parties.

Enchanter and I were coming back North from a Rally on HWY 58 running a solid B Group pace :laughing

Cruising at 85 plus mostly and opening it up here and there. :ride

A dude wearing tennis shoes on a Gixxer R1 appeared and he was really moving. We let him slide by and then upped ours to stay with him. He was breaking the law big time and we followed in an attempt to make a citizens arrest. :teeth

He stayed on it and and so did we, but he got away with a wave when we stopped at Rossi's DW to let the chill set in.
Tim checked his GPS. He said we just averaged a little more than 100mph over the course of 58 on our effort to bring this law breaker to justice. :p

Our effort to fight crime left us both with smiles.

Tim please add or correct as necessary. :afm199

Well seeing as how y'all was doing your citizen's duty...

I don't know how many are old enough to remember the Monday Night Ride, but I could probably write a book about what went on undocumented at the Monday Night Ride... but, it's likely best I do not for legal purposes.

It was an R1 and the personalized plate was familiar to me. It was a BARFer (JS_R1). Not a participant of that Rally though.

That was a hell of a ride. I was caught off guard just how fast the guy was riding. Thanks for not mentioning the start point. The average speed was over...well...a long distance. That was the longest time period I've been over the ton.

Just ask permissions and tell away! Better to hear it now instead of at Benders roasting the dead 😭 :rip

My longest was from Coalinga to Hollister. Some of the bits of rocks on the road got kicked up by sticky tires. One guy’s headlight was broken and another had a rock enter the intake snorkel of a GSXR750 and blow through the elbow at the back.

So many great memories begin at Hawthorne. TwoWheelTramp and a new to her V-Strom breakfasting at the Casino. Bunch of folks making up a plan for saturday's ride. I have my resurected ATK and I'm itching for some unpavement. She was "Cootz" back then and Cootz and I decide on a ride to Bodie. As the discussion grows more get on the Bodie wagon. Talk of road conditions make the ride seem more and more daunting. Cootz and I decide to blow off Bodie and head to Bridgeport.
In Bridgeport Cootz and I stop for oil (ATK is a thirsty b***h) and snacks as well as a couple super sized beers. Our new destination is Travertine Hot Springs. We ride up to the springs and are met by several Wall regulars, all butt ass naked siting in one of the pools. Let it be said that many off road riders tend to be in exquisite physical form and this tub of naked 40+ year olds did something to our insides. Of course she and I giggled like a couple of school girls ate snacks soaked and split a beer.
Our ride back to Hawthorne was intercepted by Dmitriy and NoDatsLivn (Nicky) headed to Walker Spring. We donated the remaining beer and snacks to them and headed back to ElCapitain.
Best ride Evah!!!

Me and Big Dog and a few others were sitting on our mounts in the parking lot of the motel in Carson City, discussing where to go for our Saturday ride . A rider on an FJR1300 comes up and asks us where we were heading. We hemmed and hawed and he offered to lead as he lived in the area. We enthusiastically agreed and followed him out of the parking lot.
He took us up to Mt Rose which turned out to be a great ride. I watched as he would exaggeratingly hang off the side of his bike in the corners. He then took us out 50 to the road that goes into Virginia City. I again followed him. Again with the exaggerated knee dragging and I started to think "what the hell is this poser doing"?. At one point, we were stacked up behind a trike that was a model citizen and adhered to the speed limits. Mr. Kneedragger was reticent to pass so I took the opportunity, executed a DY pass, twisted the throttle and made it to Virginia City well before everyone else. Once again, I thought, what is wrong with this guy?
When we were seated for lunch I apologized for passing him and he replied that it was fine and that that road is heavily patrolled and that was why he didn't pass. Gulp! I got lucky.
During lunch, we started the usual swapping of lies and he mentioned that he had been to a few IOMTTs. I told him it was on my bucket list to be able to attend and watch this iconic motorcycle event. He told me that he didn't watch, he participated. Mr. Kneedragger had raced in the IOMTT, multiple times and was badly injured in one of the races Another big gulp.
His name escapes me but he is/was a Barfer and I'm sure someone will chime in.
