We are a diverse group as Americans are eh? Two standard American white guys, two women one Chinese one Taiwanese, Canadian, a Ukrainian and a Frenchman. We are a wonderful group and everybody rides well. The Frenchman is quite quick. Support was Moin and Jimmy, lead and sweep, though that was dymamic. Sometimes I lead. Oftentimes the Frenchman led, as he was quite quick.

Also a support truck with driver and a mechanic and a professional photographer documenting things

Really it’s an eating tour interrupted by regular bouts of awesome motorcycle riding. Moin seems to know everyone so we are sucked into his community. We eat three meals a day, family style, and have an awesome conversation. Sometimes there is second breakfast. Sometimes second lunch. And actually, it’s also a cultural education thing as Moin wants to show off his country. He’s doing a good job. It is a wonderful country. Way fun.

Skardu, the real kick off point where we picked up bikes…fit the bikes to each of us, I had my handlebars, moved forward, and my shift lover moved up. CF Moto 400s for the real men, Honda 150s for the children. Then we went for a ride

Skardu to Passu was the KKH, reported by some to be not for the feint of heart. BARFers are gnarly

Shimshal was 50 km of one lane dirt road largely carved out of the cliff. It was wonderful. Apparently a kick off point for the trek to K2 Basecamp

Great report. Looking forward to more pictures.

The crew:
Two standard American white guys, me and Nate. Nate is very Google.
The Ukraine dude, actually Stan, a high level corporate computer geek from the great north west, who has 12 motorcycles.
Two women actually both of Chinese heritage one thru Taiwan, one thru Canada, prymnumber and Jess.
The other Canadian, Nick, Jess’s husband who chose Honda 150 so he could hang with his lady. Nick could make that 150 fly the downhills. Jess has a monster but had never ridden dirt. She rocked bigly.
The Frenchman, Regis. Probably the most skilled rider in the group. Pic of the landslide, Regis on the throttle. A bobble could mean death, certainly for the bike.

We were a wonderful group and everybody rode well.

that's 8km or 5miles, beauty..
It was Awe inspiring, almost overwhelming, to be existing in a Ken Burns National Geographic sort of environment. Every single day. And on Motorcycles. 0MG.

Hell to the no!:loco

Yeah, I didn't even consider trying that washed out section. I hiked in for the view instead.
Did Regis have to come back over that? Considering how sketchy it looks, I could maybe see attempting it if it lay between me and my destination. However, to go across to see a view only to have to repeat it would definitely make me think twice.
