BARFTRON HOMEBASE

Damn I wanna use that golden key and open up that box so bad! But it'd probably be better to wait till I'm like level 30 or something I imagine?

I actually got two keys for registering the SHIFT thing. Is there anything else in the game that you'd use the keys for?

Golden Keys are just for that one box in Sanctuary.

I had a total of 8 keys so I decided to use one every 5 levels. I opened the chest up at L25 and got a 1047 damage purple sniper with burst fire and fire elemental and also a 248 damage purple SMG, with low recoil and high ROF. I figured I can always pass those weapons on to my other characters to use/store.

Looks like Gearbox is planning a bunch of promos for the keys in the near future so getting ahold of a few more codes shouldn't be too hard if you make an effort at keeping up with the news.
 
I got the game on launch and signed up for the shift thing and I didn't get squat. With my first character I opened the golden chest out of habit by accident lol. I'm waiting on zero to get to a high level before I open it. I'm 24 right now with zero. I might start a Siren because they look like a lot of fun with their abilities and fast cool down.

Lots of good data from the weekend SHiFT code tests = better software being developed = more tests (ie - more free codes) in a day or two...
 
my commando's turrets are wrecking shit now that I have rockets on them. Toss and run. wait for them to clean up then go in and pick off whats left.
 
little help here ... yellow bar on enemy means armor? blue bar means shield?

Corrosive weapons best against armor? Against loaders and the like? What works best against shields? Like those little teleporting stalker fuckers.

Epic battles last night against that Super Badass Constructor and the Bunker. The Constructor and its minions were harder than the Bunker.
 
I hate those damn varkids!

But I love the Goliaths. Pop their heads off and let 'em do all the killing for you. :thumbup

red bar = flesh = fire
yellow bar = armor = corrode
blue bar = shield = electric

Red for red, blue for blue, green for yellow. Explosives and slag work for all.

You really should run through your missions at least until you get your character to Sanctuary. Covers a lot of the basics. I was laughing last night when you didn't even know what the bank vault was.

Oh man that was a blast. That Super Badass Constructor and it's homing missiles sucked. I've never been owned that badly in this game before

Spike shield fixes those varkids quick.

My most hated enemy in the game thus far are the rats. Thieving fucking rats taking all my loot. Lab rats that take 3 rocket hits before they die. And all the rats are so good at dodging sniper bullets.

yup exactly. I love doing that.

for the varkids I toss a turret hide and lobe nades. I have a special nade that breaks into 8 when those 8 explode 6 more come out of the 8.

Plural? So you went for the Gemini skill?
 
I want gemini I will be going for it but I meant turret, I only have one right now. I think with the right combo of relic and skill booster you can get the nuke and Gemini.
