Best place to do SV650 valves close to Oakland?

Any tips on a nearby affordable place that I should take my 07 SV for its first valve check/adjust?
 
You could take it to the dealer, but I would avoid it as the chances are the valves are still in spec, but the price would be steep.

I'd use elskipador or afm199 to save you some money and both these guys know the SV650 really well.
 
AFM199, the man knows his SV's
 
I could use a valve guy too for my Bandit
 
There's Addiction Motors in Emeryville.
 
+1 on Ernie (AFM199). I do my own work but from having chatted with him nobody knows more about SVs.

Awesome! He's a race mechanic so sometimes it can take him a while to get back to people because he's in such high demand.

He does great work. By far the best value in the bay area in terms of motorcycle mechanics.

As Shawn just came by this morning and checked the valves on my G1K I can second this opinion.
On time, knew what he was doing, pleasant and extremely reasonable pricing. I would not hesitate to call him again.
