I’m looking for recommendations on which gauntlet style glove to purchase.

Their primary purpose will be for track days, but if they’re comfortable enough, I may wear them on the street too.

I know these types of gloves can get expensive, but I’m willing to pay for quality and longevity.

What have you guys found to be the best?

Without question, Helimot. First set lasted 9 years and about 100k. Second set arrived a bit ago, and I'm looking forward to getting them broken in and seeing more use this summer.

I like held gloves. My race Tex goretex gloves worked well on trackdays and commute. Im upgrading to the Titan Evo for trackdays but still in transit =\

Helimot. Been wearing his gloves for nearly 30 years. Tried several others and most pale in comparison in many different ways.

Plus, I have crash tested Helimot gloves and they protected my hands.

Thanks for the heads up on helimot, I’d never heard of them.

I’m surprised no one said Dianese. I’ve been reading through reviews and they’re typically held in pretty high regard.

STG had some good things to say about Held, I’ll need the check them out too.

I’m looking for comfort and feel mostly. Of course I want protection, but I’d sacrifice a smidge to get more feel..

Dainese gloves are imo their weakest items... at least the reviews I've read they fall apart. I think their high end gloves (full carbons/full metals) are pretty solid but their mid/lows are overpriced for the build quality, which always surprised me given it's a high end brand.

Racer. The hard Knox sliders in the palms will save your hands and the ‘Roo leather is super comfortable.

(street riding) Most of my gear is A*
After running though several sets of A* gloves ( huge disappointment), I got fed up and got some Dainese. I've Had them daily about 4-5 years and they're still holding up pretty well.

Another satisfied Helimot customer here. Comfy, great feel, very safe.

Another for racer. Best gloves I’ve ever bought

Just go with whatever Marquez and Lorenzo wear. They've been put through the crash tests and passed.

I'm wearing the Held evo thrux. Real comfy glove from day 1.

I think I will try the A* GP Plus R next. A bit thicker in the palm but a similar construction.

Helimot for gloves that work, crash well, and last longer than 1.5 seasons.

convergence: I have racer for "warm weather", have held for "cold weather", and I also have some helimot - my old gloves that I use now as backup as they're pretty worn (but still good!).
