Best street / Race style boots around $200 ish...

So, what's the verdict -

Looking for something with an ankle support/protection. Around $250 ish...? Sturdy and long lasting.

Here's a thought... go online, and do some research on what's been suggested in this thread so far. Ultimately, YOU are responsible for making the decision about which boot you're going to buy. You've been given at least 2 different options- see what you can find online in your budget, in your size, and maybe that will make the decision for you.

www.revzilla.com has videos on pretty much all the boots. They showcase the advantages protection and tech of each boot. When i was shopping for my boots i watched all the videos.

I went with Dainese Torque RS Out Air. They're comfortable to wear on long rides and didn't need time to break in. I can also use them out at the track without having to worry about lack of protection. Hope that link helps you out, it helped me out.

These are the best budget boots I can find. They're suitable even for a track day. They're sold under lots of brands including Tecnic and some others. Each brand carries them in a slightly tweaked color scheme but the features (big ole heel bumper, ankle lock, replaceable toe slider, and beefy shin guard) are all the same

Not sure they're 200$+, but how has no one mentioned Daytonas?

An entire plastic shell covered by cowhide outers. The boot is a great boot for having the bike land on your foot.

I think nobody mentioned them because they cost like $900-$1300. From everything I've heard they're great boots, but not exactly affordable.

Holy shit. I've seen them go for 300-400 used, I had no idea they were that much new (just checked Helimot's site).

Ah, it looks like they have some cheaper touring boots. But the top-of-the-line racing boots are still $1,000+. I guess it's still cheaper than getting a mangled ankle fixed :laughing
