Any reccomendations? I'm walking about 4 miles to/from work. I'm using old mizuno running shoes but I figure there are shoes just for walking long distances.

Nike Air Walks. Love em!

I just saw the mbt's for the first time and if i could find a pair in a shop i would buy them in a second.

but a close second is any shoe made by keen, super comfy durable and they dont break down in a couple weeks like nike's. I always liked wearing nikes for the first couple of days then they get uncomfortable, the exception to the nike rule are their new skate shoes which are super comfy and ive been wearing a couple of pairs for a couple months now and they still are comfortable.:thumbup

Good enough to run a London marathon in, good enough for you!

heh, I used to have a pair of blue suede earth shoes ! (surprised ?! :twofinger)

Has anyone tried the MBT's??

Yeah I know they look funny

I have a pair of MBT's. Yeah - they look a little funny. Not too funny to wear though. Not sure they are meant to be uber comfy - it's the exercise they're made for (works your legs). I like them though.

My opinion is probably not the norm - but I've done a lot of high mileage walking (including miles and miles of European cobblestone) and I go for Teva flip-flops. The ones with the real cushy sole. It's similar to that memory foam stuff they make mattresses out of. SUPER comfy, and your feet never get tired.
