Biker Boyz - Review

:zzz why?????????? i wasted my 9.50 dammit...i should've just saved that money for gas. that movie gives us all a bad wrap it shows nothing about what ridin is all about. the worst thing was is that i heard peoples conversations after the movie..." aww man i gotta get myself a bike" if that movie is the influence for any rider they are gonna die.
if i ever get off my bike and anyone calls me a biker boy i'll beat the living crap out of them. the only thing good about that movie was when my friend farted in the middle of the movie theatre and said there's your nitrous for ya.

hmm... not sure how good the movie was, I fell asleep in the middle of it..... when I woke up it was the next showing.......

I have not watch it yet, but after I read all the coments...maybe I should really saveup that 9.50 for gas instead!!...:D

from, the few parts i've seen on TV. i knew i wasn't going to see
it. now i know, i'm not going too.

Well we saw it

Here is our review and my take on some comments here.
First it was not by far the worst movie I have ever seen, that would probably go to Ghosts of Mars and THAT was a horrible movie. Could it have been better...certainly...could have been worse... most definatly. There wasn't the all the N word being batted about or massive cursing just to get a rise. It was a low budget motorcycle movie intended for entertainment. So did it entertain??? For us it did, glad we only spent matinee money though. It is not worth the extra cash...it is better seen in video or cable as opposed to the bigscreen.

As to stunts...yes some where cool, saw better back in the midwest. As to speed if they had a bike that was doing 180 in the quarter they would have prostock bikes. As to the influence on other people on bikes, those that acted up were already acting up just got noticed now. (shrug)

Vests, for those uneducated in this world the bike clubs do in fact wear these vests with nods to fallen friends and accomplishments as well as status in the club in the form of patches as well as the nomenclature of the club.

As to the unison kick stands and getting off the bikes, I wouldn't have been surprised if they had broke into song.:laughing

Look there is no real drag bike culture out here in calif that I have yet seen and to me having it based in calif where noone seems to really know what that is all about kinda irked me a bit. So what is it...another case of Holywood making a movie about a life that they know nothing about......so what else is new.

Oh yea.. you are correct - Ghost of mars SUCKED!!! Patyly because I was expecting so much more becuase it was supposedly his dream movie to make since the `70s... sadly it came out campy like the 70's - but by accident!!
so back on topic.... yea.. when they put the kickstands down in unison - it DID very much look like a musical chorus was next:laughing :laughing

and no it was not the worst all time movie.... there are others which got nothing to look at... at least here were nice bikes, pretty paint jobs, some stunts, some skin ( male and female), funny phrases.... matinee or rental, for surezy!!

All i know is that when a movie busts out with a "i'm your father" plot its gonna be bad.....only star wars can pull that off.
this movie is definitely running on fumes.

I think the sad part of the movie is, it was not meant to be a comedy, yet it is. What is left is a shameful production which should never be spoken of again...

Oh yeah the parts that really had me cracking up were when the black nights or anyother crew would dismount their bikes in'sinc with each other. Like they were on sometype of Synchronize swim team or some thing.
Reminded me of Toecutter's gang in Mad Max.

The goofiest thing was the little Black Knights salute -- holding your right hand up in the air, making a couple of grip-twisting movements, then clasping your hand over your heart.

Man that movie was straigh comedy.
I laughed out loud on many occasions.
What really made me laugh was when they would be "RACING" and supposedelly going really fast, then look at thier body postions. They sitting straigh up in the seat. I swear they were going to no faster than 50 mph. Ohhh yah these guys racing around wearing hlaf helmets??? they only time you "Kid" wear a full helmet is when they are on an actual race track.

Like I said straight comedy.... Will keep you laughing most of the movie.:laughing :laughing :laughing

the half shell thing is a big trend down south(LA..aka LA LA land). when i was down there last year.. i saw bunch of chromed out litre bikes and they were all wearing half shells(chromed)

they got a different bike culture down there.. that's for sure.

we all know that bikers wear that stuff for club reasons.. but are they usually sportbike riders? is the movie about sport bike riders? (i haven't seen the movie)

the drag thing.. i just don't get it.. :( sorry man.

that actually gives me an idea..

everytime we lose a rider who belong to barf.. we should all wear a patch in his/her memory.. i'd wear them on my leather..

You'll laugh, you'll cry!, you'll kiss $9.50 goodbye! This movie rated right there with Teenage Mutant Turtles. :zzz :zzz :zzz

I saw the movie in Dublin "Regal" and there was not a SQUID to be seen, thank god!

Yes to answer your question, sportbike riders. It is a club thing and most of it revolves around drag racing. You need to understand I came from a state where if u pulled up in full leathers u were definatly in the minority. In fact since there is no helmet law you are very likely to see a lot of people without helmets. Not actually racing without a helmet mind u. We would block off streets and race. US37 between Indy and Bloomington, at about 11pm on, on a weekend. Especailly on ProStar weekend. 300-400 bikes all making runs...until the cops show. When I started my shop it was my hope to give a place for people to hang especially that weekend to try and curb that many people out there. It worked in our new location and the cops were very happy. The street racing took place after 2 am and there weren't that many. There were 400+bikes in my lot until almost 1am, the few that remained were working up the bets and the where and when. So yes I am very familiar with this lifestyle, I lived it and I raced it and then got legit. I could have made a movie on drag racing that would have been cool as hell and interesting. aaahhh well.

i had no idea the sportbike drag seen was so big in other states..

Very Funny

Well I did see it at the matinee on Friday, and laughed my arse off!

None of you are mentioning the two guys that wanted to join the group and then in the next scene they come rolling up on their ATV's.. that was freakin hilarious! I couldn't get over them being cool and riding on the street and no cops bothered them.. waaaaay cooll NOT!

The stunts were decent.. the plot was lame.. I couldn't believe they got such good actors.. to play these roles... I was embarassed for Lawrence Fishburn and the main other actor..

It was good for a laugh.. glad I only paid the $6.00.. but will be sad when all the squids try to be like them..
