You have to consider what these guys risk. It only takes one wrong house.

The parents are willing to abuse the children, imagine a stranger at their door. Most of these parents, I could only assume, are tweaked out and they have to deal with them.

The extra 200lbs is a lot like body armor.

Wow, first off, did you read any of the article? or you just guessing?
and I don't know if you know, but there are other people and other family members that don't live with the child that abuse children besides the parents.

Also, they are working with a court agency that sets up the contact, so, it is more than likely it is not one of the parents that they are protecting the kids against and if it happens to be a parent, I am sure they are already in custody and not living in the house, because most of these cases are on their way to court.

After reading some of your other posts, do you feel it necessary to piss on other people's joy or just play devil's advocate to everything? With all that is going on in the past week, you can't just let it be and let some of this community enjoy something that is selfless....Good Going

Back when I was 16, 5' 6" and about 125lbs, I was assaulted by a guy later arrested for raping a couple of girls at the high school across town.
I beat the crap out of him. Thank you, Dad, for teaching me how to NOT hit like a girl.
Most people, when it comes right down to it, don't have the balls to actually escalate to a physical assault.
Keep in mind that these are adults who have assaulted and hurt CHILDREN... why? Because children don't fight back.

If I had the flexibility with my schedule at work, despite being an ATGATT sportbike rider, I'd look in to volunteering- and not think twice about it.

Had you read the article, you would have seen that there are women volunteering in BACA. Obviously, being a hulking giant isn't a requirement.

BACA doesn't come to the doors of people abusing children. They come to the doors of guardians of the children that house the victims because they were removed from their abusive environment prior to BACA's involvement.

But if you're rather troll than read and use deductive reasoning and context clues as you do so, then carry on. I will feed you no longer.

I love the fact that he couldn't answer simple questions and still doesn't get the point of how BACA works...but whatever. Like I said in my original post to him, I have read other threads that he has posted in and it really isn't worth paying him any mind....as much as I care, he can eat a bag of dicks and choke on every one.... There are more than enough people that enjoyed the story that he really doesn't matter

story is great, BACA is great, but why am I getting bashed on for warning a guy... When he goes to meet baca, they'll talk to him and they'll warn him JUST AS THEY WARNED ME. It even says it in the pamphlet they hand out.

BACA uses intimidation as a tool. The tough look and motorcycles are to scare the parents OR GUARDIANS and help give a form of protection to the kids.

But intimidation does not always work, and people DO fight back.

I'm giving the guy a headsup.

I'm not bashing on BACA, I support their cause and what they're doing.

We aren't getting pissed off. But if you could have told us from the get go that you have talked to them, or had a pamphlet from them, or both, then your original statement would have made a lot more sense. We aren't mind readers.

Why should I have to give a background about how I know them? Why can't I just tell the guy what they're about, and leave it at that? It's stupid that I have to explain why and how I know the things I do.
