are less important than school
I've hit some bullshit peak over the last 3 months. No matter what I do I can't get that muscle burning feeling during or after working out. Ashully I can in my chest but nothing in the arms, shoulders, back, or abs.
Not only am I not growing but I'm shrinking and getting weaker. I tried heavy sets, light sets, super sets, resting more, resting less, more protien, more carbs, more fat (this jsut made me fatter and sweat more) My magic creatine doesnt seem effective anymore. I'm very vein so these muscles are very important to me.

What say you?

You need to break routine. Stop exercising the same muscle groups together. Find exercises you've never tried before. Eat more. Rinse. Repeat.

Steve

How long have you been lifting? I admit, I am a has been since I had my workout about 2 years ago. However, I've been in your position.

First of all, the burning feeling in your muscle and the pump that you feel after the workout has nothing to do with muscle growth. The pump is achieved by the increased blood flow and the burning feeling is the lactic acid, a by-product of converting glycogen into energy during workouts. What you feel the next day represents the trauma done to your muscles.

Muscles do not grow during workouts at all. They grow then they repair themselves. What you need is more rest and perhaps a different workout routine. Have you considered taking a month off and doing swimming or some other exercise?

AK arent you 100% crossfit? Crossfit doesnt really promote muscle growth as nearly all the workouts are full body and high cardiovascular. People get ripped doing CF but the adage for crossfit is "girls get sexy and guys get skinny". Granted I know there are max heavy days here and there. One usually cannot gain muscle and size while burning fat at the same time, at least not to 100%. Bodybuilders (which I dont really like) as you know have a off season higher body weight and competition lower body weight. They get big during the off season and cut hard pre-comp.

If you want to get big you have to rest between sets for at least 2 minutes but 5-7 is best and lift heavy and usually never anything below 85% of your max. High reps are great but they produce a small pumped muscle, not a bigger stronger muscle. How often do you do legs? When I say legs I mean back squats, front squats, deadlifts, cleans (not machine leg extensions crap)...they promote size because they are the biggest muscle and naturally release testosterone. I used to only do legs once a week and was not getting big or stronger. I got into Oly lifts and started doing legs a couple times a week. One day would be singles for a max and a few days later would be 5 doubles of about 90% of my max. That can translate to all body parts really.

Shoulders are a small muscle and can easily be over trained. Standing military press is great BUT make sure as you press up you push your head through so the bar is inline with your legs...its not a standing incline press like mane turn it into. By pushing your head through you work behind the neck and all those small support muscles too. The USA weightlifting guys do it to help lock out their snatch.

Lastly, you need lots or protein in the AM and right after a lift...20-30 min after you lift is the prime time to feed your body protein and complex carbs.

sorry for the long winded.

Take a week or two off and focus on eating and sleeping. Sounds more like over training then a plateau.

You need some diabonol, wisterol and clembuterol

FAIL - Clen is for cutting, Dbol is only to kickstart a cycle, and winny is only to be stacked on a testosterone base, and winstrol is usually a water based suspension and more dangerous due to infection than an oil based hormone.

I'd say:

500mg Testosterone Ethanate (250Mg x2 week) for weeks 1-12
400mg boldenone undecylenate (200 Mg x2 week) for weeks 1-10
20-40 Mg Dianabol p/day for weeks 1-6 to kickstart the cycle.

Then follow up with 3-4 weeks of post cycle therapy with nolva and clomid, and depending on needs maybe some HCG.

You'll SMASH through your plateau and then some. If done right you'll retain about 75% of your gains post cycle.

do some coke

Get your taco bag removed.

I like these responses the best!!!!! :laughing :thumbup

Also- Send more $$ to Benny Hin- he makes everything better. :twofinger

Seriously, you need to follow all of the great advice on here. Take a break, mix it up, don't do the exact same workout twice. Also, stay away from the mirror, tape measure and the scale. You are progressing, just have faith.

Fuck that noise - Chemicals my brother, they work.

I want you to be the first BARFer to Military Press his bike at a meet. That would be a new BARF legend. I mean shit, it's only like 500 lbs, right?
