Wondering who out there has done a comparison between Dainese boots vs Sidi.
I have had Dainese for years. Wondering If Sidi's are taller at the shin area, and protect the shin better. Thx

You probably want to include model/style names otherwise this thread will not be very helpful.

I hear nothing but good about SIDI's, but they are squeaky.

Vertigo Cora's air. Wonering on the shin height vs the Dainese torque out, and walk ability .

I have the Dainese TRQ race out boots and love them.

They are quite stiff though, so I'm still waiting for the break in

I don't know about the Torques, but I recently bought a pair of Vertigos from Craigslist pretty cheaply... right one squeaks like a wet sneaker, but they're comfy and I can walk around all day in them. :thumbup

I'd assume the shin heights are almost identical to prevent your shin from being injured when you slip from your peg in a crash. Any specific reason you're looking for a shin height comparison?

Bad Accident years ago, just under knee. Would like to protect. If I have my leathers on at track, no problem. Around town riding without leathers. Thx

Only serious clubbing boots are going to reach up to 'just under your knee,' and they're not going to be so protective. Decently comfortable riding pants with knee armor might be more of what you need.

then you should probably be looking for some knee guards like these
i wear them with sidi vertigos daily when i ride and well if i hadnt had them on saturday i probably wouldnt be walking right now. i just strap them on, put on the boots and then riding pants over. its a bit bulky but i got lucky that the vertigos open up wide enough for my calves and the armour. ymmv good luck.

I want to get these soon. I accidentally ordered their cheapest boots (thinking I was getting a super sale on the good ones.....cuz dude at the store said I was!!!)

The cheap ones suck like all $200 boots but these fancy ones are great. Super stiff. Almost like a full plastic cast race boot but a bit more appropriate to wear outside. Easy to put on which is huge for me....cuz I might actually put them on in the morning.

I have had the dainese torque out for years. The break in time took no time for me. I have a thin foot, and they fit me like a glove out of the box. I think a lot of it has to do with your foot, they either feel good or not. I will say the box is narrow, so if your wide in the box maybe not a boot for you.

Only thing I can say bad about them if this is bad, besides the toe sliders, there is not a lot of replacement parts, and I don't think you can re'sole them.
