Borderlands 2

I pretty much shelved the game when I got Far Cry 3. Even before I got FC3 I was boring of Borderlands 2. It's really disappointing to me that is is basically the exact same game all over again. I thought that would be a good thing, because I really, really liked the first one, but honestly it's a bit tedious.

I don't do that "live" shit so I don't have any of the buff updates. And the whole "gold key" thing makes me think I won't be buying any more games by Gearbox. Ever.
 
Jesus Christ, they still use the Unreal Tournament engine for new games?!? That's older than them using the COD4 engine for ever COD since then.
 
had a 3 day weekend.

Only got to play games for about 3 1/2 hours the whole time :(

still not to Lvl 49 yet.
 
Level 27 Commando now, trying to do all the side missions before doing the main story arc.
 
Don't do that. Just blow through the story. Save the side missions for when you've started play through 2.5. Then all the loot that gets dropped, including the unique stuff (which is the reason to do the side mission in the first place) is all level 50.

Learned that from Scorp.
 
problem is, side missions are great for getting XP. You don't wanna start the second playthrough below lvl 30. and in TVHM, the side missions level you up fast

you can get uniques and legendaries anytime. they're just better past lvl 50 :) you still gotta farm or be lucky even then.

Kinda sucks to get a legendary sniper rifle that's only level 35 (great for new characters I start tho I guess)

We finally got Vermivorous the Invincible to spawn in the Caustic Caverns the other night. It was a pretty epic fight, that was one enormous bug. Luckily we had a siren on the team and it made it pretty manageable, I only died a couple of times.

My new most-hated enemy are those damned witch doctors in the new DLC, what a pain.

the witch doctors suck bad, I beat the add on in regular mode so i would have weapons for a new character and my son and now in TVHM im getting destroyed. thought about trying to spawn dexiwhateverhisnameis but don't want to spend hours trying to kill one raid boss. I have been playing halo 4 so i don't have to deal with the witch doctors :laughing

As for vermivorous, you should have tried to spawn him last week. They had an event where his spawn rate was upped and the norfleet rocket launchers were dropping like crazy. spawned him 3 times using the hyperious 4 player difficulty glitch and another 3 times playing split screen with my son. starting in the farmhouse was the easiest way to get him to spawn and then the barn right next to it provided good cover.

have yet to find any infinity pistols, but most are farming doc mercy for them, pyro pete drops them as well but is harder to kill depending on how you do it. the best place according to the gearbox forums though would be the leviathan treasure room. if you dont mind jumping up and off invisible walls to get back in.

I have all flavors of the Infinity pistols (Fire/Corrode/Electric).

Elemental Gaige with Electric Infinity is just ridiculous. Love it.
