Buell Ulysses and shorter riders

Nice. He's gonna have fun with it. Pics? What year?

It’s a black 2006 with the Buell hard cases and 45k miles. The bike looks flawless. No evidence of any lay downs or even a tip over. The previous owner didn’t do much to it that I can tell other than a taller windscreen.

I’m gonna have to truck it up to Mendocino next week for delivery.

"My father in law said parts are available for fork rebuilds, so that’s gonna be on him."

Step fathers and father-in-laws are holding this culture together and need more credit for the effort they put forth. The forks will be on him and I bet he comes through like a champ.

buell uses lots of showa parts for the boingy bits. even when the official buell branded parts dry up there should be crossover parts from other applications. IIRC the tube frame fork seals crossed over to ducati and a couple others

All of the forks share internals with Ducati parts. Both the 41mm and 43mm setups.
The levers interchange with Suzuki parts.
The blinkers were used by BMW and Moto Guzzi, as well as generic replacement companies.
The EFI systems are built from off the shelf Ford automotive parts. There aren't a lot of proprietary parts beyond frame, swingarm, engine cases, flywheels, and some smaller bits and bobs. Those can usually be substituted with similar parts from other OEMs.

Parts bin indeed.
