Yikes..Inland Empire jobless rate up to 9.2%. Imagine almost 10% of the population jobless.

Crap Imagine living in the Inland Empire...yuck. And jobless...double yuck.

And to Norcal folk, Inland empire is to LA as Stockton/Modesto/Lodi is to SF

It's more than 7.7%, those numbers are wildly optimistic. They don't count people who have been out of work more than six months, for one. They just assume those people have given up and don't want to work.

THe unemployment numbers are voodoo math I will agree. I wonder if they are counting all the illegals too?

My wife has been "out of work" for 6 years. Course, she has been raising kids and that is hard work and ..

She isn't counted in the unemployed because she is not seeking employment.
