Oh it can definitely do both for me

)Been working in my field for 32 years. Been an all day every day cannabis user for... 32 years.Full focus absolutely has it's place. I have never been stoned in a workplace. Ever. Not even for a bullshit high school job. I didn't start using cannabis until my 30's. It really didn't agree with me at ALL as a younger person. I was probably the only person at UCSC who didn't smoke. I dank like most kids my age did back then. I'm completely flipped now. I RARLEY drink anymore and if I do I stop at 1, I'm just trying to be polite and social. It simply doesn't agree me anymore.
I think it's hard for Americans to accept that not everything is, or can be, for everyone. That idea kinda flies in the face of how we think the sky is the limit and we can self determine our reality any way we want. I think the truth with substances and altered states of consciousness is messy and nuanced. Sometimes it's healthy and sometimes it not. Some things work for some people and don't for others. Some people are "normies" who can imbibe with no ill effects and some people have to be tea totalers or they spiral into oblivion.
Part of my bedrock belief system is that, if i have ANY freedom at all, I have the freedom to explore my consciousness how I see fit as long as I'm not doing harm to anyone else. That includes harm my actions might have on my family indirectly. It bugs me to dumb down the conversation and label people or things as "stupid." It just seems like a disservice to the topic in my book.
We're all dieing from something.Anyway, we already knew that smoking anything is bad for you.
My dad died from lung cancer... never smoked a single cigarette (or anything else) in his life.FYI, my father died of a heart attack when he was only 54.

So much fucken this.Spend a day with me and I guarantee that "sedentary lifestyle" concept will fly right out the window.
Pack of cigarettes has almost half an ounce of plant fiber in it.OK so I overdid the fat and lazy stereotypealthough I have met more than my quota of the brain-dead version of users.
The point I should have stressed was that THC just doesn't work for me - I have used it and others I did the 70's properly and to the full extent- I just never really understood the attraction. I guess I'm wired up differently.
I do strongly believe that smoking weed is no better than smoking tobacco with respect to lung damage though - the combustion products are practically the same in terms of free radicals, partially combusted cyclic organics and carbon monoxide inhaled.
I've met a shit-ton of people like that... most of whom didn't smoke weed!OK so I overdid the fat and lazy stereotypealthough I have met more than my quota of the brain-dead version of users.

It's illegal for those people to be intoxicated while they're working, so what's the problem? They could just as easily be drunkDespite pot being legal I think a country full of stoners is a bad thing.
I don’t want my doctor stoned when he’s operating on me or my lawyer when he’s defending me or the pilot who’s flying the plane I’m on.

Weed being legal doesn't change any of that. Just because weed is legal doesn't mean it's legal to just be stoned all the time on your job.Despite pot being legal I think a country full of stoners is a bad thing.
I don’t want my doctor stoned when he’s operating on me or my lawyer when he’s defending me or the pilot who’s flying the plane I’m on.
Indeed. I'm thankful every day that doctors, lawyers and pilots have never gotten high.I don’t want my doctor stoned when he’s operating on me or my lawyer when he’s defending me or the pilot who’s flying the plane I’m on.
