Wait.... that doesnt sound right.... If it was an intentional act, the SO would handle it. Did the officer even take the time to talk to you and find out exactly what happened?

Everyone else... Dont settle for no action by law enforcement officers. Ask for a supervisor, go to the office, do something. Officer's get paid by you, to work for you.

Really! Isn't a person purposely attempting to run into you with their car assault with a deadly weapon? Even if they miss?

Aren't police officers on foot or moto justified in actually shooting at a driver that is threatening them with their car? The consequences of such an attack being so severe?

It was a long time ago. I went to the CHP office off Brocaw and filed a report. They said they'd send the guy a letter or some bs like that.

No, damage or injury = no follow-up

Yeah, it kind of sucks. Here in SF, when the wacky lady decided to HIT ME THREE TIMES, even though the bike was fucked, I was standing there unhurt (until the next day), and SFPD said they wouldn't bother to send anyone, because I wasn't hurt.

Which sucks, because I wasn't about to lie and say I was injured (I really was feeling fine), and I wasn't in a mindset to start arguing with them, demanding their supervisor, etc, so there was no report, and nothing but my photos and a witness to prove it all.

some asshead purposely hit me with his car this morning & tried to run me off the road,

i was passing him as we were on the brocaw overpass on 880, I had enough room but he sped up honked & rubbed his front tire against my foot, i was like WTF backed off and gave him a few :finger 's

i motioned for him to pull off on montague & he swerved at me again, at this point i'm super pissed, shaking my fist yelling in my helmet he then pulls to the side of 880 like he wants to have it out there on the side of the road,

now i'm thinking "this guy is nuts" so i memorize his plate & take the tasmen exit, guess who is behind me, at this point i decide it's probably not a good idea to confront this guy & i take off leaving him way behind,

I called the cops & they told me to call the CHP but they were closed, i'm trying again after i type this,

the only thing i can think of is there was a CBR in front of him & maybe that guy (in a black joe rocket jacket) pissed him off and he was taking it out on me,"

Happened in SF to me. Guy sideswipes me, then hits the back of my motorcycle and because I had the smarts to wear protective boots and didn't break my foot no report. I had to threaten 911 to get someone to even come out. :thumbdown
 
I think keeping the full face helmet on in a fight also precludes you from sinking your teeth into your assailant...
