What is with the $1 price tag.

That thing is really cool.
You have to list a price on craigslist. The sale is actually taking place on eBay. Current bid is $45K with two days left.

Seems like the lowly $45K bid disproves that theory
Front me the $ and I'll do it!

The eBay ad has me geeking out over the aircraft in the background. A-3, A-4, F-4, A-6, T-38, B-52, F-104, F-111.

I was commenting because $45K seems low for a what looks like a very good mint condition collectors vehicle when I look at other ads you get a burned out engineless '67 Camaro for that price so doesn't seem so much like a highly sought after unicorn unless someone is waiting to snipe it at $110K or something.

I mean I had someone bring me a blank check for my '70 Challenger and it is in no way in that good of shape.(Yet)

Whoa. That guy's my hero. On the road no less....awesome shot, thanks!

They look neat but the homologation cars are total dogs
I was given an opportunity to drive one a little over 20 years ago. Even then I remember it feeling uninspiring.

I was teaching a motorcycle safety course and a student was wearing an automobile helmet with a BMW rondel(sp) on it. I asked him what car he had and he responded:
“It’s a grey market import.”
Me: So you have an M1?
He’s visibly shocked at my statement “yes! You know what they are?”
Of course.
One week later he drove it to the next class and asked me if I wonted to drive it.

That was one of many unique vehicles students have let me drive / ride over the years.
