Okay. Today I worked a lot at figuring the issue out and am still dead in the water.

The bike starts and idles just fine. In neutral it revs right up but sounds like its missing. Once in gear it really sounds crappy, with a popping noise that seems to be maybe one cylinder not getting gas or not igniting.

So far I found one FI code being thrown was 2, a bad MAP sensor or connection. Found there to be a vacuum line that wasn't connected to the MAP. Fixed that.

Then during a test ride it really really sputtered and wouldn't pickup at all. It accelerated but not like it should have. Super hesitant is how I would describe it. Then it throws FI code 11, loose or bad connection w vehicle speed sensor. My speedo is not working. Could this have to do with my power problems?

The FI stopped showing code 11 and it's still having issues.

Any ideas? Please help me out! It's riding season!

So, the speedo has been off and on working. But the problems just started. I guess I still gotta look into it..

I think the speedo is unrelated. Make sure you have the correct hose on the MAP, check that it's in good condition. Easy and cheap insurance to just put a new hose on. Just because it isn't showing the code doesn't mean its not getting bad data, and bad data from the MAP is an easy way to throw off fueling throughout the RPMs.

I'm inclined to agree w the speedo not being the gremlin here. As far as the MAP is concerned I'm hoping that I solved that issue, seeing as how as soon as I replaced the hose to its propped place the code cleared. Any other ideas?

When was it last running right?

Any maintenance or other service event around the same time the poor running condition started?

A slip-on is an exhaust mod, but it shouldn't cause a serious hesitation. Is the airbox flapper valve actuator working?

I just meant as far as messing with the servo/sensors in the exhaust.

It was running when I sold it to my buddy, withy the exception of the headlight and speedo. He replaced the front wiring harness and the starter switch. It ran after that then this issue came up...

The flapper is working. I just went through and checked all the connections under the airbox that I could get my hands on. Not showing any codes currently but still runs like shit.

Here's a clip of it running..

To get it up my driveway it has to be almost all the way open.

got 954 problems but a bitch aint one? :rofl

is it running on all cylinders ? check each header for heat with wet rag?

Saul, why you think so smart!!1?! Looks like I'm running on 1&3 or 2&4 depending on how you look at it.. Any suggestions on diagnostics?

I been smooz since daze of underooz :ride

bad plugs? coil packs? check wiring to plugs? how many miles on the bike?

if the coil packs are the same as 03-06 RR, I might have set for sale :)

Okay, spark from all 4 coils. Looks like each jet is spraying. Pulling plugs next..
