Charity Ideas

What a great thread! It is inspiring me to donate to a charity I have been meaning to throw a little money/time at for months. SF New Deal sprung up after SIP started, they use donations to pay local partner restaurants to cook and package meals that are then delivered to folks who need the assistance.

Shriners Hospital
Had a girlfriend who's niece had severe scoliosis. Shriners flew her and her mom to the hospital a couple of times a year to fit her with a new back brace as she kept outgrowing them. Never a cost to mom or dad. This was in the late 70's and I've had a soft spot for them ever since.
