Why didn’t you just put that in the truck for me already?

@Lucytriple

I had this thing on the back of my truck the first day I saw you and I was struggling with parking last week lol

I had just picked it up from my friend and former riding buddy from her place in oakland.

All of her riding friends moved away, and the bike had been sitting for years and she just wants to get rid of it, and turn it into cash for a gravel bike.

She took it to a local shop, I don't know which one, and got a frighteningly large estimate to get it back on the road, so I told her I would pick it up since I was down there with my truck, fix it up and sell it for her.

I figured it would be easier to sell up here as everybody is looking for cheap dual sports.

If a few somebody's want to come up and get this, I can spend a couple of days taking you on local trails also....

You’re a bad man. Need pics.

I know I know, I cleaned it all up and did a test ride today and it was looking and feeling good.

Then I realized that the tubeliss on the rear tire was leaking very slowly ( like 5 psi over the week it was here), so I took the back wheel off to put a tube in (I've never had good luck with tubelis) then I realized I didn't have a 2.15 rim lock to finish it up, I only had a 1.85 and a 2.5, derp.

I will have the wheel back on tomorrow and take pics.

See how nice I make things just to sell?
What idiot worries about 5 PSI per week on a dirt bike they are selling?

That’s bananas. If I hadn’t been on crutches I probably would’ve seen it and just taken it right off the truck!

It was in poor shape at that time from sitting and It wouldn't have sold for much, and she could use the max money. That's why I am donating my 3 days of labor getting this thing fully gone through for her because she is rad and I am happy to help her.

Yeah, I lived in sf for 20 years, I had a hitch hauler for my SUV that saw a ton of use. Originally got it for my supermoto track days, then started dirt biking. Metcalf, Carnegie, Hollister, cow mountain, StonyFord, Tahoe.

That hitch hauler saw a lot of use and a lot of good times.

Still have it, and even use it with my current pickup truck and sometimes it's easier to carry stuff in the bed and throw the bike on the back.

Actually picked the bike up in Oakland with it last week. So here is a photo of it before it was all cleaned up. It looks much better now. I'll post later

Hell, I have an extra hitch hauler I got with a bike purchase.

Buy the bike and get a FREE hitch hauler to take it home and go on your adventures!!!!!

Do you have a line on a old TWD truck and someone who wants to trade for a VW TDI that needs work? :laughing AlsoI have that same shirt.

I can work some magic to get this in someone's hands, but....

2wd trucks are a bit rare here in Truckee (snow country 6 months of the year, and chains SUCK)

Well 4wd then, so long as it's relatively compact and not a million dollars as I'd be parking it in SF. That or I figure out how to get a hitch mount to support that bike on my 1/4 receiver hitch on the back of the golf. I have a suspicion that even if it didn't drag on the ground, it'd do bad things to the unibody mount points. :laughing
