Console (Xbox Live/PSN) / PC - Online / Multiplayer Gaming

Quick question

i bought a used xbox 360 (slim) and it has 4 full games installed on the HD. I don't have the CD's and the games work just fine

Is that normal? Or is my console modded?

Do you have any friends nearby with modded consoles that you can borrow games from to see if they work? Otherwise I wouldn't worry about it. AFAIK, Microsoft can only detect a modded console if you're playing a backup disc, so as long as you're playing games you actually purchased, you're fine. Since you bought a used console, I would hook it up to Xbox Live & make sure the console isn't banned.

xbox started allowing people to buy games through the online store, no disc required, so probably one of those.

Ahh.. I see

I wouldn't. There's a chance, although slim that you'll get caught and your 360's serial number would get banned and you'll have to buy another 360 if you want to play online.

Online store is fine. There's already one BARFer that got his Xbox banned from Live for playing pirated games.

Yeah I updated right when it came out and they were still having issues. Reset everything next day and now it works

49,847 kills so far in BlackOps since buying the game in late 2010.

AWWWW YEAH. :laughing

Never been able to get a MOAB. A buddy got a 25 kill streak, but we were playing Barebones, so no MOAB. Haha!

My name is: Captn Complaint (XBOX)

u battlefield?

I used to. I was very disappointed with Battlefield 3, so I stopped. I will come back to Battlefield when BF4 (whenever that is) comes out.

The thing I loved about BF2 was the entire world being destructible. The interactiveness of the world, coupled with the reality of one or two or at most, three shots and you're dead, set it apart from Call of Duty's more arcade-style gameplay.

Then out came BF3. A wonderful engine, gorgeous graphics.... and, unfortunately (for me anyway), they went and made it more like a mixture between realism and arcade. The instant that happened, I couldn't get into it. I tried and tried, but if I want arcade play I'll go play Call of Duty, which frankly, you won't beat (for that style of game).

The "you can blow this up but not this" and "you can go in here but no there" changes to Battlefield, plus the overall choppiness of it compared to BF2 (because it's so damn pretty!) just took away from what made Battlefield different than Call of Duty and as a result, it came out poorly.

Yes, I know, long reason for not playing Battlefield 3 anymore but it is what it is. Hopefully BF4 will go back to the true "realistic" and "interactive" style of gameplay that made BF2 so successful.

the expansions for bf3 added a lot more destructible elements. if you want pure destruction, bad company 2 is still a fun game
