Wifey brought home some cinnamon rolls from a local bakery. I'd never taken notice to how she ate them before. When I eat a cinnamon roll, I use a fork and eat by following the coil from the outside to the center. The roll gets smaller and smaller until you are left with the nice doughy center.

My wife on the other hand... she just cuts into it with the fork like it's a piece of cake. No system or method. Cutting right through the layers of the roll like a psychopath.

So.... am I correct to think she's an insane person for eating a cinnamon roll in that fashion or is my OCD showing?

With all due respect your wife is nuts. You don't cut perpendicular to the grain.
That's just ignorant.

Depends on the quality of the cinnamon roll.

Nice, doughy and comes apart easy, I eat from outside in.

Kind of hard and not very good and I'll just cut into it.

:laughing

There's a reason they make them with coiled layers. Duh!

Psychopath would be cutting the core out and eating only that. Then it’s the this is too much food...do you want the rest? move where I am essentially a garbage disposal.

Now that is bullshit. The middle is the best part of course. It’s one’s reward for starting from the outside and peeling away like a normal person.

If there are utensils, I eat it like cake. If I eat with my hands, I follow the coil.

Psychopath.

The outside is driest and worst. The inside is soft, and concentrates the cinnamon. It is best and represents peak happiness. Reasonable people work hard, and suffer through the outer layer before reaching their goal / attaining happiness and fulfillment.

Your wife bites into triangular pieces. She’s thus experiencing every emotion at the same time, intentionally, with every bite. And then goes back for more.

Nuts.

psychopathologically Ill I say!
Acts as if the bun is only an object to serve her pleasure.

I say eat it however you like. Everything ends up a ball of mush in your stomach, anyway. I can't take more than a couple of bites of cinnamon roll before I hate myself.

open mouth
shove
chug coffee

yall taking yer time and dissecting the thing are a bunch of sickos, doesn't matter if you uncoil or fork it like cake or whatever. just eat it and move on to the jitters and regret portion of the morning

There is no right or wrong way to eat a cinnamon roll. Its not something serious like eating a KitKat the wrong way which causes societal breakdown and disrupts world order.

For me there are a lot more interesting calories out there but if I were to eat one, I would just eat it. No method necessary. Pretty much what auntiebling said.

Dammit, all this talk about the yumminess of a cinnamon roll :drool, I need to stop off at a bakery on the way to work ... I'll buy one if it is still warm or can be warmed up
