I've noticed a crack starting to grow away from the top bolt on my right front fairing. Any advice on best way to stop the spread and seal the crack so it doesn't continue to grow? I've heard drilling a hole will stop the spread. Maybe plastic epoxy to seal it? It's a white honda cb500x.

Thanks.

ABS glue from the plumbing section of HomeDepot + a small square of fiberglass on the back of the crack (2-3 layers) == stronger than original.

+1 to above.
And yes, drill a hole at the base of the crack to remove the stress concentration.

For ABS fairings I always start with the hole at base of a crack and the sand away paint near the repair area on the inside and fill with ABS plumbing cement. $3/can at homedepot ftw. For reconstructing large chunks of missing area I have now use Fiberglass cloth as reinforcement in conjuction with the ABS cement. Works great so far .
