If the information here can be believed these cars make a Tesla look prehistoric.
700 HP, 11 minute charge times, ranges hundreds of miles more than Tesla, interiors that are eye popping.
Elon needs to step up his game.
Only available in Canada, at least for now.

Holy shit. :wow

Nice to see Canada kick us in the huevos with a Chinese boot.

The top 10 factors for any car purchase in my world are proven reliability and dealer/parts/service support availability nearby and widespread.

High (nearly unusable) hp, bling interiors and screens "bigger than in my house" are at the bottom.

Nice to see market competition moving the space forward though. Rivian has done much better than I expected them to when they first arrived also.

Also LOL at what America is currently doing regarding EVs by rolling back fuel efficiency standards and incentives at the federal level, drill baby drill!

If I was in Canada and shopping for a nice; new car, I would still get a Lexus, Just like I would here

Another criteria in my car purchases is the idea "where will this car be in 25 years?"

I am not onboard with cars as consumer electronic devices that get replaced like a phone.

If it has a short lifespan, planned obsolescence or tech that will be outdated (besides audio/nav interfaces maturing) and render it useless, I'll pass.

I may be old fashioned, but that's my reality.

Current cars: 2023, 2023 hybrid, 2007, 1998, 1996, 1975
Bikes: 2023, 2015, 2008, 2004, 2003, 1989, 1978

The current deal is limited imports but Canada needs to do this on a bigger scale. Screw Tesla and Detroit.

Lets see if Canada actually puts in infrastructure for those.

Super quick chargers probably cost more then gas stations to build and maintain.

Plus its cold AF up there.

1000+HP on icy roads doesnt really work that well does it?

But hey if they sold the 13K Dolphin I'd be all over that.

They probably come with settings and traction control.
They may be more secure than gas vehicles.

Reliability is a question. But if the quality is real my goodness, the bang for your buck is high.
Probably due to China controlling the majority of the mines for battery manufacturing and paying their factory workers a fraction of workers in the US and Europe.
It’s also hard to compete when the Chinese government is financially propping up the industry.

There really isn't a need to duplicate gas station infrastructure for EVs for the most part. Yes, super chargers on major highways are important, but most EVs now have enough range to change at home or at work slowly, prolonging battery life and whatnot. Not need to take up urban space with stations.
