Daily carry knife?

Yup. I have a Benchmade Griptilian 551S (the one on the left in the photo below). Almost always in my pocket.

I kind of want one of these, but they can be pricy:

I have a ton of pocket knives that I rotate through but I would recommend either the Spyderco Delica 4 (thin, light, nice steel, comes in kewl colors) or the Ontario Rat 1 I have in my pocket (really high quality, feels like it costs 50 bucks more then it is). I would have gotten the smaller version but they only come in black or pink, I have the forest green one.

I have some Kershaw stuff but they're just okay. I like my little titanium oxide rainbow one but the steel kinda sucks. The RAT1 is only AUS8 but it holds an edge really really well and is easy to get scary sharp.

I sue two different ones. A SOG Flash II tanto, and a benchmade Griptillian tanto. No need for anything else.

Can't say I have found the perfect knife. I've tried all sorts, price ranges and styles. Now, I usually end up with CRKT.

I'll buy a benchmade or some fancy smaller brand, see $200-$500 knife every couple years.

I'm really happy with this everyday carry "gentleman's knife". ZT 0770

That's the problem with California law and automatic knives. Can't be longer than 2 inches, and that's too short.

The one I linked is very solid. Quick one hand spring assist opening too.

I switch between a Benchmade Adamas, Double Havalon ( one drop point blade and a surgical scalpel on the other side of grip ) Or sometimes a tops knife fixed blade, can't remember the name of the model.

I've been carrying a Benchmade Contego for maybe a couple years now. Just a hair under a 4" blade with a carbide glass breaker.

CRKT M21-14

About $50-55 on Amazon, not sure if they're California legal. Holds a very good edge, and overall extremely durable. I've had one in my pocket every single day for about 18 months now, and it still looks almost brand new. Love the double lock mechanism, and once the pivot got loosened up over a few hundred cycles, it snaps open and closed in a blink. :thumbup
