Dave Sadowski passes

he was the absolute master of Bryar Motorsport Park and I guess what would’ve been the #1 plate holder with the Loudon Road Race Series in the late ‘80s when he was racing with that club. winning all the Suzuki contingency money on his GSX-R 750, anyway. he was a clubracing standing-start maestro. would do his warm-up lap at practically 10/10ths and when the green flag dropped would have a 10 or 15 bike-length lead into the first turn ...

was so happy for him when he won the Daytona 200 in 1990 ...

godspeed, Mr Sadowski ... :rose

Sorry to hear about Dave. I saw him race on TV a few times. Quick off the grid!

I've lost a few old friends close to my age (59) that way in the last few years, some completely out of the blue, others had rather attributable factors...

Helimot

He was also a long time Helimot customer. Godspeed, Dave.

I noticed that on his leathers as well. I still have my set from 1999 but I haven't had the opportunity to wear them in the last several years. I think I've gained too much weight now to get them on, especially with my back protector. No bike, no worries. :cry Is Helimot still there or has he passed the torch to someone else? At 6'7", now a pugsly 220 lbs, I'd definitely need customs again. I remember a guy and former Helimot seamstress named J. Lindo setting up shop just down the road as a result of Helimot taking too long to get his orders out to rider individuals as opposed to team racers. My guess is that would have been him. I haven't a prayer of buying anything off the rack though my Bates I had prior to my Helimot ones were custom, measured at the races in Las Vegas, and sent to me after. They looked and fit great, matching my R1 color scheme until the Alameda County Rescue cut them off of me in June of 1999. (sigh). I miss my old life. : | Peace BARFers.:afm199
