Do you buy albums?

Amoeba in Berkeley is getting cut in half and turning into a weed shop, last I heard. They're cutting their collection by 60%. With the legalization of recreational weed, I wonder if they'll even be around in another year.

Hell, that's how record shops started. Albums, black light posters and weed in the back.

That's sad, but truth be told, I haven't been there in years. Parking is actually easier in SF, and the selection much better, so Berkeley fell by the wayside.

i just buy single tracks if digital. being a DJ buy whole albums for a single track gets expensive. only time i buy full albums is at concerts to support the artists.

Just ordered a new turntable cartridge today. Looking up mods that'll require some new RCA jacks, silver wiring and soldering on my oh so entry level 1991 turntable. Gonna buff out the dust cover and... gonna have me some fun! Have a new audio stand showing up soon. Thought about building it myself, but... when I priced out the material it was way cheaper to buy the dang thing dang it.

So, yeah. I'm gonna buy another album. But, not before I clean up Cheap Trick's Live From Budokan with some dish soap in the kitchen sink. Then I'm gonna BLAST it with my new needle. :laughing
