I only drink bottled water when that's the only thing available, otherwise I drink sink water. Are you one of those people doesn't drink sink water, and only goes for the evain, crystal geyser, etc.?

I'm still convinced that the bottlted water companies have mastered marketing. If you traveled back in time and told somebody from 50 years ago that people woud pay $2 for a bottle of water instead of drinking from a water fountain/sink... they'd probably think we were crazy.

no for me....my sister is a bio student and tested our sink water for the green molecule thingy....

looks like we have it...:p :barf

Now I do.

Evian is the nastiest bottled H2O I've ever had...:green

I drink sink water all the time. bottled water only when I have no choice.

I may be a victim of marketing hype but I have one of those water filter things for the kitchen sink and bathroom but even then, I run the water for a few seconds before drinking it....

bottled water is for pussies :x (unless there is absolutely no other choice)

I have a filter in the fridge, but have no problem drinking tap water. Sink water on the other hand, ewwwwwwwwww :laughing

Hey, that's what Americans use to make coffee dammit.

another thought: when I lived in LA, I never drank tap water....even after taking a shower, I never felt clean with the water down there...SoCal is the only place I know that even the water seems pretty ghetto...

best tap water: Lake Tahoe...maybe cuz of the cold weather but the water always tasted fresh and clean....

maybe it's my imagination....:loco

I drink the water from the little fridge thingy and I think it's filtered, but we used the big alhambra bottles while we were redoing the plumbing in the house. Nasty ass galvanized pipes :puke

I drink water from the sink, shower, hose, fridge, doesn't matter to me. The only thing I don't drink out of is the toilet cause my dogs have a monopoly on that.

bottled water got it's start before clean public water was widely available in the 1800s. originally a luxury of the rich, it has become widely available and well marketed....

there are places in the states that the water is plain nasty. my example is Goleta Ca, and the greater santa barbara area. the water comes from lake cachuma and it's more like clear dirt. :barf

and +1 for tahoe water. my cousin claims it was better 10 years ago before they started chlorinating it, i don't remember, but it still tastes great.

They way I look at it is this: if there's poison/heavy metals/bacteria/feces in tap water, then we'd see some adverse affects by now, right? And I don't care how much you recycle, plastic water bottles are wasteful. For every person that recycles these things, there's an asshole who doesn't.

I drink the Arrowhead dispenser water at work, but at home, I'm strictly a tap-water fellow. I've lived in Socal for about 20+ years, and definitely think the water up here is WAY better than down that way. And I would agree, Tahoe water is the bomb. :drool

plus which plastic water bottles contain some endocrine disruptors, which may be totally fucking up your health. (Remember, forty years ago cigarettes advertised they were GOOD for you, and the Kent micronite filter (asbestos) was one of the healthy inventions.)

We may discover, in twenty years, a new cancer cluster due to people who ate and drank too much stuff out of plastic containers.

tap water is f'ing fantastic. especially in northern california. if you ever want to taste really terrible tap water, head to so cal.

the best fix is a brita water filter pitcher for the fridge (keeps the water cooler too). then one of these for the road: www.mysigg.com

:thumbup

I drink it out of the tap, always have.

Also talking with my finance's younger brother who does water quality for California Department of Health Services, he was saying something about missing out on needed minerals that are put in tap water if you drink bottled water exclusively. :dunno

I filter it through my Britta first.

Same here, it definitely helps, tho I have kinda hard water. When I lived in EBMUD territory, it was straight from the tap.

I only drink bottled water if I'm out and about and happen to get thirsty.
