Do you give your motorcycles names?

Never named one and have had a few maby 30 -40.

All the vehicles get named. Always. Bike names came from my girlfriend so the Blast is "Chip" and the X1 is Belle. (She really likes beauty and the beast)

What will the boat be named? "The Boat"?

The Bankrupt ... duh (actually was the name of my ex-in laws boat).

I'd be more concerned if one of them was sleeping with Number Six. Hey, what's that blinding flash...

:laughing

I do not name my vehicles but they do get an honorary title of "the" ... as in "the car" or "the bike." :)

I don't name motorcycles. They pretty much just sit there and make you walk over no matter how loud you yell for them, so what's the point.

Honestly it depends on the vehicle. I've named some cars and some bikes and others never even thought about it.....it depends on how much time I spend and how much I enjoy the machine. I don't go into it trying to think of a name when I buy something, it usually just happens because I "love" the vehicle and it's earned.....if that makes sense.

I bought a 2002 Trans Am WS6 brand new and spent a shit load of money, blood, sweat, and tears on it getting it up to close to 700hp and hooking. Many nights racing it, many days at the track. Had it for 8 years and named him Mr. Brownstone, because the damn thing was like heroin. Took all my money, could kill me at any minute but the thrill was so addicting. Names are earned I think, not just given out.

When I'm out riding, I've only used two names ever since I started.

Some think they are of thai origin, I always have to correct them.

Either it's "My" bike or "Your" bike.

Mine's gone through three engine swaps, six or seven crashes and is still going. I call it the honey badger.

I think "Honey Badger" might be taken...

When I was texting my dad about what kind of bike I wanted to buy, his phone kept autocorrecting "SV" to "Sven." So I call my bike Sven.

However, my friends thought it would be hilarious to call it the "Red Rocket."

So, unfortunately, it is most widely known as Red Rocket :laughing

Exactly. I have had a few vehicles only one car had a name but both of my bikes were/are named. My first bike, Suzie, a SRAD was my first love. She WAS my first rodeo :leghump

My current bike, Ladybug, is named so because after riding a nice ride to a buddies house we walked out and noticed a ladybug on the seat. A few beers later we came back outside and the lady bug was still there just now on the tank after at least 3 hrs. So the name just stuck:teeth

I now have two R6's so the Yellow one might have to be named Bumbles...

You don't ride them on "The 50" or "The 80"......I hope.

I am with mototireguy and OldBlade's replies. (But disclaimer: We adopted two street cats over the years- one named black cat, the other yellow cat.) Thought of names for my last two bikes, but nothing seems right. moto kind of stuck for the 500 gs, but no clue for the 2004 honda 919 i ride now. Except 919. For some reason that fits.

The SV or the FZ (sometimes the Fuzz)

My ZX14 has it's name on the plate..."KNGKAWI"
