Do you wear jeans under leather pants?

I wear jeans (for casual fridays) and dress pants/shirts under my 2-piece (zip together) leathers for commute.

Come into office, drop leathers (hope you didnt forget the dress pants as your coworkers watch you strip down), put on extra pair of dress shoes and be ready for the board room in the same time it takes my coworkers to get a coffee.

weekends: 2-piece for comfy long distance riding (plenty crash tested, no problem with being too big) or "full suit" for the real fun parts.

i wear leathers 99.9% of the time i ride. but goddamned - i LOVE the feel of my bike when i'm wearing a pair of skinny jeans - next best thing to spandex. i love it so much i have to force myself not to think about it.
Fuck yea skinny jeans pics pretty please.:rose:blush:toothless

I wear a two-piece leather suit with a shirt and underwear to work. I carry pants in my backpack, and keep a pair of shoes under my desk. 5 minutes after I get to work, I'm ready for the day.

If I'm going to do a trackday then I'll get track leather one-piece and wear underarmor under them. Until then, I do alot of commuting and my pants are designed for it with full-zips on the side so I wear jeans under my leathers. FWIW, my leather pants ARE NOT chaps and actually have a full circumference zipper attachment to my jacket.

Okay, I have to chime in. I thought this thread was going nowhere. But Yes, I do sometimes wear jeans under my leathers. Not "race leathers", by the way, just a good set of touring leathers.

I have a few friends that live on the Peninsula. When I visit them (usually taking the "scenic route" down Skyline, "the" 84, "the" 9, etc), I often don't have room in my tankbag for my street shoes, water, etc., etc., and my jeans as well. So yeah, I wear them. They are a little tight under the leather pants, but it's not like I can't operate a vehicle or anything. Most cold-weather gear is at least as constricting. Hey! I've even been known to put a sweatshirt under my jacket when it's cold :wow

So don't be put off. It's not like you will die if you wear jeans under your leathers. Unless you are riding a 600. And you have only been riding for six months or less. Then you will die for sure. Unless you get a SV650 or a 250 Ninja. Or a Busa.

Okay I'm confused. Let me get this straight-- it's not okay to wear jeans under leather pants because that means they're too loose and the armor might shift when you crash. But it IS okay to wear pants under aerostitch or other non-leather overpants because... wait.... doesn't the exact same issue still apply??

I would say it does, but you don't see racers riding in a Stich.

The same issue does apply in both cases.

People are just inconsistent - although it seems it's more acceptable to wear jeans under leathers if it's for commuting, but you wouldn't do it for racing.

People seem to want to dress for the destination, rather than the activity, in much the same way people tend to want to dress for the distance being ridden ("I'm just going to the store").

I wear the Spiderman Underoos' under my leathers. Sometimes I'll wear the Superman, but let's face it: Spiderman is much cooler.

I wear jeans under my Shift Havoc pants, which are half leather and half textile. They fit more like jeans themselves than like typical leathers, though.

I'm wearing Shift Havoc pants, over jeans now. I'm getting to like the Havoc pants more, every time. I also like it that I can wash the jeans, and have that replacable/washable inner pant, and.... the ease of getting out of the leather, when I get to someplace other than home, where you need to get out of the serious gear.

most overpants fit TIGHTER with jeans underneath. cause they are designed to..go OVER your pants. most don't have any decent armor anyway so it does not really matter.

Anybody got any suggestions or examples of decent overpants? I would really love to find some leather ones with good armor. Unless that's completely impossible for some stupid reason.

oh and I need some that will fit a 6' woman. Yeah. And a magic castle would be nice too.

...I tried on some cheapo leather pants (Frank Thomas, Fieldsheer) and after that I just decided to wear my track 1-piece with a reflective vest to hold my stuff.

Some of the cheap leathers out there look like a drunk guy was sewing mouse pelts together.

I saw some guy who was pitting next to me at T Hill who slapped his leathers over his jeans and I think he ended being one of the fastest guys in the C group.

i remember seeing him pass by me with his jeans sticking out of the top of his leathers.

anyway, i thought this was a relevant story =)
