Does anybody care about the Swift wedding?

If the Charles and Diana Royal wedding, then later the William and Kate Royal wedding was such a spectacle all around the world? I can see why the wedding of the most famous music artist in the world could be kind of a big deal.

Not gonna lie, I’m more interested in this than I was of the Royal weddings…which was zero point zero both times. At least on this one there’s a bunch of people involved I’ve heard about. Kind of neat that Adam Sandler of all people was the officiant.

I’m sure one of the magazines (Vanity Fair, People, etc) will get to publish pictures from the whole affair. Will be interesting to leaf through the pages of said magazines for a few minutes during a poop one of these days.
 
I imagine such an enormous venue anonymously raised huge amounts for Childten’s Hospitals, food banks or other assorted community needs. That’s how TayTay rolls.
 
I find swift weddings the most enjoyable- when the wedding part is quickly over, the talking and party time begins.

No, but to be fair (and others may have reported this), apparently they donated $26 million to various charities. I don't give a darn about either of them, but that was one cool and generous gesture.

The US is ranked 23rd of 145 in happiness. Anecdotally, I live and work with relatively happy and content people every day, from a wide variety of backgrounds.

You are allowing the lens of your own experience to bias your perspective.
 
I wish them both much happiness together. $26M is a nice donation. Given that she has over $2B and he over $100M it is a negligible drop in the bucket for them. Actually it is reported that $26M was the amount spent on their 2nd wedding event itself.
If I flaunted such conceited whims then a matching donation might have assuaged my wasteful guilt. No telling how many folks coulda been helped with that other $26M plus the cash that the guests spent primping and traveling. Guess I wouldn’t be rich for long, the guilt of not doing enough for others would bankrupt me. Luckily that is not in the cards.
 
$26M is the reported donation spread across Children’s Hospitals and food banks.
 
Saw a pic of the impressive phalanx of private jets lined up at Teterboro that day too.
They donated to Dolly’s reading foundation as well.
Honestly I felt the same way when the Clinton’s spent over $5M on Chelsea's wedding. So much actual good could have been done with that amount.
If they ever split up it will be one hell of a break-up song :laughing
