Does anyone think Santa Clara Cycles is overpriced?

I know nothing about that store specifically, but I've always been suspicious of consignment. What's to stop them from sitting on your bike for a few months, without really promoting it or passing along anyone's offer, hoping you'll dramatically lower your price, and after you do they call and claim it's been sold, when in reality they bought it for themselves so they can resell it for more and keep all the profit. I mean, the check they give you is written by the dealer, not the actual buyer, so how would you know?
 
@elevader I would like to thank you for all of the free press and praise we have received from your observations. We do sell bikes on consignment as a lot of people have posted about here. At times, our clients that we sell the bikes we have on our very expensive Bay Area showroom can be optimistic of what their bike is worth, but a lot of the times if you communicate realistically to us what you feel what you willing to spend, we can make things happen for you. Our business model has always been for the last 26 years to make our customers happy at all costs, and they will come back and spread the word for us. Any moto shop is better than no moto shop.

From what I've seen of their listings they seem reasonable.
 
I just sold a motorcycle using SCC and the entire process was great. No complaints.
