Dog toy: a review

Careful shopping at the grocery store sometimes nets you some good options...

You can go get expensive, no salt added, cat tuna in $8 pouches at the pet store...

Or you can find the equivalent in the grocery store -- it's a lot more spendy than the regular high salt variety ($3-4 vs $0.5-$1)...but, half what the pet folks will charge you.

If you have a good co-op type grocery store near you, some of them still make their own peanut butter. Just grind and jar. It won't be cheap, but it's probably cheaper than the pet store version.

So many dog toys on the market. Next up is the Starmark Everlasting Treat Groovy Ball. My dogs love it! A big purple stronger-than-rubber ball thingie with a curved treat (replaceable) on one side that's hard for them bust out, and an open spot in the other end where you can stuff inside whatever doggie treats you prefer.

The mental stimulation they get from trying to reach the treat inside is fun to watch.
