So I was that guy today. You know, the guy who no matter how much it's raining rides his motorcycle. I also ride that motorcycle 300 miles.

Yup.

I learned that my waterproof boots had a fine print message saying they were waterproof while looking at water but any actual contact would not be protected.

So everything else has been dried, but my boots are still soaked.

I've stuffed them with newspaper hoping to suck out moisture but am not sure what would be best.

OK, magazines actually, no newspaper in the house.

Think I could stick them in a dryer for 20 minutes?

On high? Low? Let them sit and wear extra socks?

Stfu?

Dryer?
Are you new at life or something?

Worth every penny:
MaxxDry
After every ride my boots go on it, lessens the funk.

He's traveling. Unlike me he probably does not pack a boot dryer. :twofinger

Koi, turn em upside down. Newspaper inside. Put on socks, then plastic bags, then another pair of socks and then your boots tomorrow.

Yes. Add some baby powder, though, otherwise your feet will get sweaty AF. :)

Definitely get newspaper or some non-governmental paper. Unless your magazines have non glossy paper in them. Otherwise if they are made out of man made material I would put them a couple towels and stick them in the dryer. If leather boots I would continue newspaper and use foot powder in the AM.

Hotel or friends house?

Plug in the hair dryer, set it in boot, leave on until fuse blows.
Repeat for other boot.

Mom's house. no hair dryer.

Got them upside down stuffed with semi-glossy newspaper and towels. If nothing in the morning I'll run then through the dryer unless barf has a better suggestion

Do you have any silica packets? Throw one in each boot.

I got my motorcycle boots (leather Icons) absolutely soaked to the point that there was standing water pooled under my feet (yes, I'm a moron haha). I got home, poured out the water and tried to pat the outside dry with a towel as best i could.

I undid almost all the laces and pulled the tongues out so the boots were as open as possible. Leaned the boots up against a wall, toe down heel up and tongue out. They were pretty dry within 12hrs and completely dry after a day. (They sat in my garage, definitely not a warm place but fairly dry.)

Also, if you have a dehumidifier you could stick it in a closet with your boots open and that would probably help too.

Unless your magazines don't have glossy paper they're probably not going to help as much as newspaper/silica. Do you have any of those coupon advertisements in the mail?

Gl, hf

Ps if they're leather boots consider reconditioning then with mink oil or something similar after they dry out

You could put a maxi pad or a diaper in each one. They are full of sodium polyacrylate (sp?)

Oh yeah, heard this works for electronics: rice..... ? Could pour some into an envelope and put that in each boot

Dont put them IN the dyer, but run the dryer and put them at the vent end. Heat without tumbling.

Not sure if that works. Just had it as an idea right now.

Why don't you run down to the local supermarket and steal all the circulars?
