The Ducati and Triumph Demo trucks will be here both days!

The Ducati truck will have the Multistrada 1200 and the Hypermotards. The group rides will depart every hour.

The Triumph truck will have ALL models and the rides will depart every 30 minutes.

Sign up for rides are First Come First Serve.

We have a fantastic demo route planned.

Does anyone know if the MTS 1200 has started showing up at other shops (sorry Ducatiace, but I'm in palo alto) like Peninsula Honda, Monroe or Hattar? Any of them planning demo days or a demo truck at Alice's or something? Would like to check it out.
 
I guess it's a taste thang, but that's one of the butt-ugliest bikes I've EVER seen..............:shocker

It was only at ACE for an afternoon. Hattar had it in like Feb. for a day.. At this point I don't think you can see one in the flesh until the end of the month when they start showing up for sale.
 
like the new design of the front and the headlight, but that frame sucks...:rolleyes i dunno, it's just not a real ducati with a half trellis frame.. reminds me more of a v-strom

that's different, it's a work of art.. and it's not a naked or semi naked bike. .. and it has not trellis at all

i don't consider that a monster any more, the monster line ended in 2008.

I just got an email from Hattar that they are going to do demo rides for the MTS 1200 on May 22 and 23. 23rd is only for people who have deposits down.
 
Designing for both the faithful (Ducatista) and for the masses (consumers) is a difficult challenge. Somewhere, somehow, the stereotype evolved that all Ducati's had to have a trellis frame, a dry clutch, and a single sided swingarm to be a "real" Ducati. Anytime they deviated from that, the faithful were up in arms. Doesn't matter if the technology was better or not.

For example, the 999/749 were supposed to be superior to the 998/748, but the radical departure in looks was never accepted.

Brian, I'll be there to try out the Bonnie SE ( :shhh , I know, that's sacrilege )
