Time for front brake pad change and rotor change. Any experiences with these brake pads? Getting a set (4 pads) for 50 bucks.

Part # : GFA379HH

Have heard about the pro pads, double H pads, havent heard about Kit formula.

Anyone?

Edit : these will be used mostly for my trackbike.

G kit pads are the last incarnation of the EPFA Extreme Pro. They are race kit pads, they work very well, and they don't last as long as the EPFA. They were well worth what you paid for them. I used them often before the EPFA came out.

Ernie - I havent paid for them yet. wanted brake pads and did a search and this classified came up on Wera forum. Are the kits better than the non Extreme Pro HH ? [EBC has a HH version too, non Extreme Pro]

HH= sport/street and okay for track riding if you aren't getting fade from hard braking.

Extreme Pro = race pads (although I use them on the street as well buy my Buell brake gets HOT and I have no trouble keeping them that way off the track)

I'd guess these are better than HH for track use.

EBC makes two HH pads today.... EBC HH, for the street. EBC Extreme Pro HH for the track.. That's it. The G prefix are just an older track pad from previous years. The Extreme Pro are "better" in that they last longer, but they also cost a fortune.

The street HH pads are shit for the track.

+1.
I've tried both and the street HH's are crap in comparison.

They glazed immediately on my Buell and took insane amounts of pressure to stop on the street after I used them at the track. Extreme pro is the best pad I have found so far. Same price as OEM though. Ferodo and HH street are half that :/.

FWIW I have heard of lots of people enjoying the street HH pads for street (even aggressive) and some track, and others convened about the extreme pro's on the street (they like heat)

My Buell brakes seem to kill pads and rotors much faster and fade (on track) easier. On other bikes YMMV.

VESRAHHHH!

Want to try a set but none for my bike. I would've thought they would make something for AMA guys on the 1125/1190 but EBR has them covered most likely with his pads... They're around $185 a set though.

I've run the Extreme Pros on the street and track. My experience is that they work perfectly well when cold+dry, though I did find that cold+rain left them a little wanting on my last ride.

With that said, while I'm perfectly comfortable with their lack of initial bite, I can imagine that someone who is used to that on their street bike might not like it at all. And I can say, that the incredible predictability of the extreme pros, the high heat tolerance, and the insane power aren't as much of an advantage on a street bike...

The price difference probably isn't justified for most of us... Though I would recommend them to the guys running single rotor machines, like the GS and Ninja 250.

stock pads seems to have the most consistant performances from what I've found out. I've not used EBC for at least 5 years so I have no experiences with the track version.

Let us know your thoughts on these new track version of the HH pads, thanks.

kawi ZRX comes with ebc HH as OEM. works much better than the same calipers with different pads on a k1 gixxer 1000
