I didn't properly charge it so it died after like 25 minutes. She did not want to leave.
The new ktm is supposed to be out later in the year, though I'm sure it'll be pricey.
This thread got me trolling CL and I grabbed an Oset 12.5 yesterday. I figure a month of practice on a pedal bike is sufficient, right?
She freakin' loves it, got comfortable on it super quick thanks to bring able to turn the speed and power all the way down. Already cruising around the neighborhood by herself (at walking speed), and telling anyone who will listen, "I have a REAL motorcycle, and I know how to ride it!"
(And yes, a real helmet has already been ordered)

I seriously cannot believe the progress she's made in two weeks. It took months-to-years for her to get comfortable walking, then balancing, on her Strider, and then again switching to a pedal bike. I was expecting more of the same: super cautious, slow progress... was hoping she might be ready to head out to Metcalf sometime this summer, or maybe fall. Well, I'm planning on taking her out there this weekend. She's already making some super nice tight turns, to the point where she tucks the front and then recovers; doing figure-8s through a little cone course I set up, charging over the 4"-6" river rocks in the front yard... like, holy crap, I did not expect her to be this comfortable this fast. IT IS SO COOL.![]()
. What is out there besides Leatt that will offer great protection with decent pricing?
