Electric Kids Dirt Bikes

This thread got me trolling CL and I grabbed an Oset 12.5 yesterday. I figure a month of practice on a pedal bike is sufficient, right? :laughing

She freakin' loves it, got comfortable on it super quick thanks to bring able to turn the speed and power all the way down. Already cruising around the neighborhood by herself (at walking speed), and telling anyone who will listen, "I have a REAL motorcycle, and I know how to ride it!" :teeth:ride

(And yes, a real helmet has already been ordered)

We went to argyll MX track yesterday and she was so damn excited. I didn't properly charge it so it died after like 25 minutes. She did not want to leave.

Later we went on a trail behind our house and slammed up this little hill climb, I was impressed and it made me grin so hard.

Awesome you guys (and girls!). Starting the next riding generation!

That reminds me I saw these guys at Metcalf as I was leaving last time. Looked like they were going to have a lotta fun.

Razor bikes work pretty well overall. My nieces have both the 2 wheel "dirtbike" and 4 wheeler. Battery lasts a decent amount and great to get them started. No complaints whatsoever and he just transitioned them tona Honda 50cc and Yamaha 70cc without any problems

I seriously cannot believe the progress she's made in two weeks. It took months-to-years for her to get comfortable walking, then balancing, on her Strider, and then again switching to a pedal bike. I was expecting more of the same: super cautious, slow progress... was hoping she might be ready to head out to Metcalf sometime this summer, or maybe fall. Well, I'm planning on taking her out there this weekend. She's already making some super nice tight turns, to the point where she tucks the front and then recovers; doing figure-8s through a little cone course I set up, charging over the 4"-6" river rocks in the front yard... like, holy crap, I did not expect her to be this comfortable this fast. IT IS SO COOL. :teeth:teeth:ride:ride

Thats awesome news dude!

Has anyone purchased neck braces? If so, what did you buy? My daughter has everything except a neck brace.

She was getting bored with the super small track at Argyll and I told her if she goes out to the bigger kid track I would buy her pink goggles and a neck brace..... She went out the next lap :facepalm. What is out there besides Leatt that will offer great protection with decent pricing?

Also when are you guys going to come up North and go to Argyll with us? They said I can go ride with her out on the track so it looks like Africa Twin vs. Kids track should be next weekends entertainment.
