End of Pavement Rally....Cedarville, CA August 13th-16th 2026

Well versed in dirt
Love trees and turns, deserts and sand, not so much
Love some of the roads up there, it's been too long since I've ridden them.

We'll see how my hand surgery goes in July

Not much sand I have found out there, but gravel can get deep at times depending on when they graded the road and no shortage of rocks! The Warners will have you in the trees and some elevation to cool off a bit.

This past weekend we found the 1290 gets extra sketch in the deep gravel with a full camping loadout, the aux fuel tank is full, and you toss a bucket of beer on the back with 7lb of ice?

Tracie will be there with her Canyon this year, so I'm expecting I'll be doing some easier gravel stuff in the mountains showing her around?

Planning on being there. Don’t know if Dillon will make it. He just started a new job. Plan to tent camp at the fairgrounds. Looking forward to riding in a new area. Only 1.5 weeks out.

Dang.
Gonna miss another Cedarville Rally.
One of my favorite places to break in a new CT125.
Desert. Rocks. Gravel. Mountains. Dirt. Obsidian. Hot Springs. Cool ponds.
Commitments on the 15'th in Oregon.

Ya'all have a great time and don't take/post to many pic's as It'll make missing it even tougher.

gotta vague plan to hit the BARF Eureka rally this coming weekend and then ride from Eureka to Cedarville. hope to be at the fairgrounds on Thursday, 08/13! :ride

had to negotiate the fact that it’s our 16th wedding anniversary on 08/14/2026, but managed to get a gracious pass. :laughing :angel

I just put together a couple of easy scenic rides that even an adventurous Gold Wing rider could pull off. Tracie will be riding the Canyon, so nothing challenging. Anyone is welcome, but bring something to eat and need to have at least 100 miles of fuel.

Day 1 (Friday) is about 100 miles which will travel south west of Cedartown, though the Warners, Mill Creek Falls, near Blue Lake, and back on the Suprise Valley Rd. Short hike to the falls and soaking feet in a roadside hot spring are options.

Day 2 is 125 miles. Over Cedar Pass to 395, top off at Chimney Rock for fuel, then pretty much follow along the NorCal BDR route through the Warners to the North West of Cedartown to Sugar Hill Lookout, Cave (and other) lakes, double back down to Fort Bidwell, and pavement back.

Open to other ideas and obviously anyone could team up with others and make your own loops for more challenge or heading East into the desert.

Looking forward to catching up with you since we missed Downieville this year.

I'm planning on Thursday arrival as well.

yes, I should have joined you guys on Mr @Cabrito ‘s ride rather than braving the crowds in the Golden Lake basin. :laughing Mr @bananachunks was showing me the photos … :ride

your End of Pavement Rally scenic rides on Friday and Saturday sound awesome … can’t wait! 🥳

Caburrito's ride was last weekend and yes, having you there would have most awesome. Super chill and no drama.

I did a Lost Coast ride Downiville weekend because I just didn't wanna deal with the crowds and heat. That ride was not very chill and had some drama, so I just exited half way through.

I'm not even really excited about this trip currently as usual because of the prep since mother nature finally decided to preheat the oven finally! I ask myself every year WHY?🤣

Holding my breath for a smoke free weekend since CA seems to have been mostly spared this season so far.

I'm most likely out for this one unfortunately. We have a very important family camping trip planned with the Cousins. It could be the last time Cousin Bob goes to Stonyford Northfork CG as he's quite ill and dealing with some bad stuff. If those plans fall through I'll see if I can get myself up to Cedarville.

Good luck with that. :(
