Fast and the Furious 5!?

I like... Dwayne Johnson (check him out in Southland Tales)

are you kidding me? did we see the same movie? Southland Tales was a confusing and pretentious abortion. "the Rock's" attempt at changing his name back to Duane Johnson and passing as a legitimate actor was laughable!

I don't think he can legally be billed as "The Rock" unless the movie was produced by WWE, which his earlier movies were. I'm pretty sure ol' Vince McMahon/WWE has it trademarked.

I thought it was funny as hell. I don't think it was meant to be a serious movie, just random LA crazyness hyped up to the nth. I think that was the problem. Unless you live in LA, or are familiar with it's insider laugh track, the movie wouldn't make much sense. It's like you know.......that was an actual TV show that was so goddamn funny. If you lived in LA, it was like watching your neighbors. Seriously, it lasted half a season or something, but it was the best.

BTW: Johnson doesn't need to be an actor, he's a movie star. The camera loves that guy.

But getting back on point: Give us another RIDDICK!!!!!

This.

He can easily be the next Arnold/Stallone/Willis/whateveractionstar. He just needs to lay off the Disney-fare stuff or he'll ruin it all. Arnold had quite a few action movies in the bank before he busted out Twins and Kindergarten Cop.

I can't believe nobody's pointed this out yet....

But if one muscle-bound bruiser with a shaved head wasn't enough for you, "Fast Five" ups the ante with the addition of Dwayne Johnson. Watch the brand new trailer, and read on to find out who is returning and how the artist formerly known as "The Rock" fits in.

All it did was jam up the illegal runs with far too many slow cars and brought much more attention from the cops to streetracers.

+1....one of the largest bust was in SoCal within the week of the movie came out...hundreds of cars...ouch

and an interior that's been stripped in an effort to save weight...

:cry but but....it does!...ahaha well i had bars in the back for support :p :twofinger

this one looks pretty interesting but seems like they use more American muscle...im probably going to watch it only because it deals with cars...thankfully i was into cars before the whole Fast and Furious frenzy started...ahaha i remember someone sitting next to me during the first movie calling a intercooler a "big radiator" :teeth

Screw SoCal. I saw shit change right here in my own backyard. Ringwood, N. 1st, Montague 500...all pretty much shut down by SJPD not long after the first movie. I went to one in Fremont, two runs got off before the cops rolled through and everyone scattered. After that movie came out, cops started inspecting cars whenever they got someone for a traffic stop and dinged people for every illegal mod they could find.

Yes, streetracing is illegal and frowned upon but it doesn't change the fact that it's pretty god damned fun. But that movie brought so much heat down on the scene because of the massive influx of ghetto ricer cars...I retired early from streetracing. At least Transformers didn't ruin a hobby of mine.

ahha oh yes...montague...funny since i live a minute away :p and +1 about the whole "i see your car is modified so youre a street racer huh?" ive told one SJPD officer i wasnt one but he told me about 4 times more that i was....awesome...

Hell, I still live pretty damn close too. Shit. I pretty much live on Montague now that I think of it.

My favorite was seeing runs over there off those back streets near Trimble/Montague when the cops scatttered everyone and they tried to get off Junction as fast as they could. Train tracks with a dip + lowered cars = lotsa sparks and awful noises.

Ahhhh. Good times.

They were kinda asking for it over there though. There's a CHP substation right there on Junction for fucks sake. Illegal runs not even two miles away from where the cops punch in and out. That was pretty easy to predict how long that location would last.

:laughing ahaha...a few buddies used to do private runs...run on a random day with no one who isnt in the group knowing wtf we were up to....good times...now, its more like meet, hang around and talk cars....until the folks from the runs meet at the same place we do and yeah, the local LEOs roll through
