Fastest you've gone on a motorcycle (and fastest corner you've taken)

This bike, on this road, during this trip! The speedometer stopped at 185 and it was just a tick past that. No pucker at all, that bike was rock solid at high speeds.
Fastest corner is more difficult to answer. 100+ through sweepers but I'm not usually looking at speedo through a corner so hard to tell :laughing

fffffuuuuuu:wow

y'all muthafuckas need to chill the fuck out with this bickering and back and forth bullshit. it's really starting to wear thin:rolleyes it's invaded nearly every thread that i click into these days:shame
I agree. There was a pattern of questioning just my posts, and since I don't do "mod calls" I was shutting down the pattern before it continued. shouldnthave don't pick on me. I am old, sensitive and get scared easy. Thanks.
:kiss
My jovial posts are dumped in the mud, again. Oh, the horror. :( Almost as horrifying as when I went about 75mph on a hardtail with seriously raked springer-front end, suicide shift, and only a rear brake. Now THAT was fast. It's not the speed that will kill you, it's the bike. :ride

Here is some video of me SHREDDING recently in France. It's hard to get the bike to turn in at that speed, but it can be done through proper body positioning.

It truly is amazing at how good consumer level slo-motion cameras are getting. This is a great tool to truly understand what it is you are doing and how to do it better, especially at the limit of the bikes capabilities.

Very impressive Lunch Box! :applause :hail

Got my thumper up to 115 on the straight at THill and thought my fillings were going to rattle out.

Ugh.... 124mph on my Duc out in Nevada (probably 8-mph if I had an accurate measurement). Without a windscreen I had to hold my helmet down with one hand and pray to Joe Pesci that I didn't hit a rock. Nope nope nope....

Well yeah, on a single cylinder?

interesting read this thread.....I am leaving tomorrow to ride up to Boise and you know how that goes? You hafta ride through Winnemucca Nevada! :teeth:ride

fastest corner is definitely turn 1 at thunderhill, I don't know how fast I was going cus I covered my speedo with blue tape but the stock 02 SV650 was in 6th bouncing off the rev limiter right before turn 1.

Oh god this is great.... We talk about "idiot dirtbikers" in SF and now you guys are talking about how fast you have gone on public streets.. Lmfao this has got to be yet another troll.

Can I report you for being a moron going 120 on a public road and breaking the speed limit? Barf would be a safer place without you.

Taking corners fast on the street takes no skill and endangers others, do you guys really want low rent motherfucks like Brokenlink being ambassadors for the sport? It's people like him who ride stolen bikes at 120mph through hunter's point and almost run down innocent pedestrians. I bet he wasn't even wearing a helmet while doing his insanely unsafe stunts.

Channel 5 news should do a story on these asshats.

Quoted for the record. See you in a week.

Quoted for the record. I'll be using that week to take your mother out to Maui.

When will the hypocrisy stop? Condoning illegal and unsafe speeds on the street and vilifying people who go 20mph on the back wheel is hilarious.

Be sure and take her to a good restaurant. I'm a cheap fuck.

:wtf Does someone need a Snickers bar? :dunno but even I would guess these are not your best efforts to convey your messages. Or maybe they are....?

Maybe it's like ABC's joke telling. There is a time and a place. Maybe some of these street speeds were ill-advisable for their location. I don't know. I do know there are stretches of highway where there is virtually no one and going really fast is rather harmless to others. Kind-o like wheelies at the empty beach. It doesn't make a fuss, 'cause it ain't in the middle of town. Doing 160 down 101 at 3 pm, might raise some ire, too.

I get your point of view, but we need perspective, or it's meaningless.

The video is actually sped-up. What shows as 54 seconds in the video is actually compressed from over two minutes of actual riding. :ride

Indeed... the amount of practice to hang off and keep the bike perfectly upright is simply amazing!

Thanks. It's good to get such positive feedback on my form and mad skills from all of you.

For the record, many of us were talking about speeds reached on a closed course. Sure there were some folks talking about street speeds, but not too many.

Well-stated. I am a huge fan of wheelies (both doing and watching), but there is a time and a place for them. Tiny little lofts for brief periods are usually fine, but when I really hoist one up, it is in a place with minimal danger. Deserted road in the middle of nowhere, offroad, etc.

Nobody is saying that they are doing 150+ down 19th in SF or anything stupid like that. OK, one person did say that, but the rest of us are not even remotely suggesting that doing so would be a good idea.

And yet you list your bike as a "stunt bike" below your Avatar. :laughing

Wait. Did ABC just change his screen name? Oh, YeaBlud is a different guy. Disregard.
