When riding through the extended SF Bay Area, do you have favorite spots where you like to take a break at when riding beyond your local area? For example, if you were riding through the Santa Rosa or Clear Lake areas, any favorite stops for coffee, breakfast or a light lunch? When I select well-rated places on phone maps, I am finding them to be crowded.

For myself, I like the Harbor Cafe in Santa Cruz, and The Press next to the HMB Harbor.

Thanks in Advance.

Cafe Aquatica in Jenner comes to mind, on a nice day, sitting in their yard watching the Russian river meet the ocean and sipping on a coffee while enjoying a pastry is really pleasant.

I like Duartes in Pescadero for a lunch stop. The Junction is great spot to hang, but the backside of Hamilton is total shit so only made it there twice last year. Spanky's in Ben Lomand for Brekkie.

I assume you have seen this thread Destination Ride Restaurants

Ive always loved the restaurant called Nepenthe, south of Carmel on the coast. A beautiful restaurant with absolutely stunning views and fantastic burgers, if a bit pricey. But well worth the cost considering the completely stunning views. Well worth the trip.

Local, the elephant rocks off Vally Ford rd. Get a sandwich and have a picknick.

Cafe Aquatica in Jenner and the bakery in Tomales.
Cafe Aquatica for the beautiful scenery, interesting people to chat with and good food.
Tomales bakery is a gathering spot for riders, great baked goods and good coffee.
