favorite line from a song?

Just as every cop is a criminal
And all the sinners saints

Save my soul from evil, Lord

And heal this soldier's heart

I'll trust in thee to keep me, Lord

I'm done with Bonaparte

(Mark Knopfler)

Everybody knows freedom,
you'll find it inside your head
yeah
Everybody loves Jesus,
you'll meet him when you are dead

Ever fall in love with a Chevy?
Ever fall in love with a Ford?
Ever felt the torque of a Hemi?
Ever seen the face of the Lord?

So there was only one thing that I could do
Was ding a ding dang my dang a long ling long
...

Jesus built my car
it's a love affair
mainly Jesus and my hot rod

Mom and dad live in Hollywood
Hang myself when I get enough rope...
(Can’t clean up though I know I should)

The Tubes. :cool

Saw them at their height at Winterland.
Fee Waybill in his fucking giant silver kickers and some white/silver ripped up tank top. Dude was skinny. Good times.

Anyway.

Anyone recognize this?

“Electric woman waits for you and me
So it's time we take a ride

We can cast all of your hang-ups over the seaside
While we fly right over the love-filled sea
Look up ahead, I see the loveland, soon you'll understand”

Jimi Hendrix, Electric Ladyland album.

Really worth a listen if you have the Mobile Fidelity gold pressing CD and either top line earphones or speakers you pay way too much for with clean power driving them. Hendrix went first, went farthest with the guitar, went best with the enigineering console, hit one so far out of the ballpark it achieved a stable orbit those who followed can only dream about.

Back atcha' with:

"When I look over my shoulder
What do you think I see
Some other cat lookin' over
Over his shoulder at me"

Clue. . . the composer and a supergroup both had huge hits with this tune, separately.

We will see what my unconscious comes up with tonight because while it sound familiar I can’t place it.

The clue is confusing me :laughing

Don't lose sleep.

"Season of the Witch."

Donovan wrote and had a hit with it circa 1966 then Al Kooper, Mike Bloomfield and Steven Stills did a kick-ass recording of it on SuperSessions in 1968. (The only thing I'm jealous with today's youth is they have ears that haven't heard the good stuff yet and can hear it all for the first time while I never can again.)
