That would hit harder if it was actually an ISF

The whole time I lived in Cali I never put a front plate on a vehicle. Only got like maybe 2 tickets for it in like 15 years and only because they couldn't find anything else to give me a ticket for at the time. That is a good one, but loses a little coolness on a front license plate.![]()

Running a front plate to avoid getting a ticket.....puts a clear cover on the plate to get a ticket.
I've gotten exactly one on the VW as well, which still doesn't have a front plate mounted (i had one of those decorative VW logo things at the time). It was a weekend at night, on the local "cruising strip", and Mr. CHP brought the code book and spent 45 minutes or so going over the car for everything he could find to write me for, including also bringing out the tape measure to check the height of the headlights....all he could find was no front plate, and no light on the back plate.I don't run them either. I have gotten one in my lifetime. Literally leaving my house from a snooty ass young female LEO. She obviously did not like OG's.![]()
I was parked up at the dam in MH late one night and the same thing happened to me. I was fine to be there as there we no signs saying I couldn't so the two sheriffs spent a bit of time going around my car to get me for something and front licens plate was all they could get me on at that time. I put it on and had my mom who worked for SC county courthouse take it to work and one of the deputies signed the ticket off so no harm no foul. But it was a butt clenching 20 minutes as they went around my car many many times.I've gotten exactly one on the VW as well, which still doesn't have a front plate mounted (i had one of those decorative VW logo things at the time).
