The Simpsons, after countless seasons, still amuses me with their short, sweet, and unexplained references to cinema's finest. This Sunday, I chuckled at the bully clinking three baby bottles together (an homage to The Warriors). And I still remember gasping at Bart's costume in Treehouse of Horror III.

Do you have any favorites?

these are just some of my favorites.
I have all the released seasons, life-size cardboard standups of all of the characters, and other things.
Simpsons, South Park, and Family Guy rock

Oh, the Little Mermaid "Under the Sea" parody from the prime years (season 3-5)...TOO FUNNY

The 101 Dalmations send-up where Burns takes the Simpson's puppies to use in a coat. I love the song, "See My Vest", which he sings while modeling all of his rare-animal clothing.

So many to choose from...

Homer: "Look Marge, you don't know what it's like. I'm the one out there every day putting his ass on the line. And I'm not out of order! You're out of order. The whole freaking system is out of order. You want the truth? You want the truth?! You can't handle the truth! 'Cause when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo that was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do! Forget it, Marge, it's Chinatown."

According to wikipedia this rant parodies the following films: ...And Justice for All (1979), A Few Good Men (1992), Patton (1970), and Chinatown (1974).

The many Citizen Kane references, including the parody of the newspaper party musical routine.

Regarding the waiting period for hand guns:

FIVE DAYS? but I am mad NOW!
