I've been around a while, but when I moved to Petaluma 13 years ago VFRD was my main bike forum, and I found a great group of VFR hooligans to ride with--day trips Mines to Alices, 128 and then down the coast, meet at Kernville Friday night and end at Auburn. You get the idea.

Times have changed and I have belatedly registered here. A 2017 Multistrada has been in the garage since new, and my former RC-51 track day bike was sold last year, replaced by a 2026 Aprilia Tuono 660 Factory. Yes, both my bikes are faster than me but I love 'em.

Welcome to BARF, Saint Stephen!
We could use a saint around here 😇

Thanks all. And thx Melissa for getting the reference, I am not a saint myself. In fact, my name is not even Steve.

But I am grateful to live in such a place where motorcycles love to be ridden.

Good people here !
Glad you joined the community.

Welcome to barf Saint Stephen. There’s much to do here and a strong North Bay contingent.

First attempt at dropping a photo here...

About 10 days ago during the heat wave took a trip up north. This is 96, one of my favorite (and empty) roads, and the Klamath River.

I know that spot well. It’s not far from my house.

Nice place to be. Most times I end up in Yreka, then 3 south to 36 the next day. But it's a fun route to continue north to see my brother in Portland too.
It's pretty great. I take Greyback over from Takilma to Happy Camp when the road is open. However, it's closed for several months during the winter.

Greyback is great, did that two or three years ago, huge bulges in the pavement here and there but beautiful. End up near the coast, south through the redwoods behind all the RV's, then Crescent City, Trinidad. And empty.
