Motorcycle: 2007 R6
Road: Santa Cruz Mountains
Tire Pressure: 40 PSI rear and 38 PSI front.
Previous Tire Used: Michelin 2ct
After breaking in the tires yesterday and giving them a good rub, I took some time to test them out up in the hills on some nice twisties.
My first impression of the Diablo Rosso's are the improved stability compared to the dual compund tires. The one thing that I did not like about the Michelin's is that the large amount of "bumpy" feedback that I got was uncomfortable in the canyons. The Rosso's are a slightly harder compund all around and yet there is an inch worth of tire on the lip that is completeley bald. It provides excellent grip and warms up really fast. Overall the Rosso's seem really sticky and "controllable" when the bike was leaned over hard and felt very, and I mean very solid at high speed turns. Personally, I already like them better than the Michelin's because of the comfort factors that I listed. While I have not been riding for ten years like alot of you guys I have developed a keen understanding on what does an does not make me comfortable and these tires defenitley boost my confidence. Can't wait to try them out at the track!!!
